Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Florida

I’ve visited this place a few times, and today I decided to finally write a review. This location definitely has room for improvement.

On my first visit, I ordered a lemon pepper chicken sandwich (no sauce, with some toppings) to go. When I got home, I found out they gave me a plain classic sandwich instead. I drove back to get it replaced, and then when I got home again, I realized they had missed some of my toppings. I went back once more, and while it was frustrating, the manager was kind enough to give me three free meal cards to make up for the mistakes.

On my next visit using one of the free meals, they messed up my order again. Luckily, they corrected it on the spot.

On my most recent visit, I asked if they could turn my combo fries into a small loaded fries—not the shareable size, just my regular side with cheese, ranch, and bacon added. I even told them I was willing to pay a topping fee. Two managers told me they couldn’t do that and insisted I had to order the $9.99 shareable loaded fries. Honestly, why make something so simple so difficult?

To make matters worse, some employees (including a manager) spoke to me after I had made it clear I’m deaf. I can’t hear a thing—communication should be more respectful.

The owner or general manager really needs to retrain staff. Employees should know how to provide good service, treat customers with respect, and allow simple requests like adding toppings to fries. Disappointing...

I would like to start this by saying it takes an extremely bad experience for me to justify leaving a review. I have NEVER had a good experience at this location. The employees here are extremely slow, rude and forgetful. Tonight I placed an order #29895535359967236. I always make a point to put in a mobile order before hand and give ample time to have the meal ready before I arrive, every single time at this location they have me pull to a parking spot and wait 25+ minutes. Today on 8/25 I placed my order at 7:59pm arrived at 8:11 and didn’t receive my order until 8:48! Meanwhile it was marked “ready” at 8:11 when I arrived probably to make their times seem better. 6 vehicles that ordered after me received their meals before me. Not only was it extremely slow but they forgot to give me several items including a 3 count cookie, any dipping sauces for the meal, straws or silverware! When the employee handed me my meal one of the drink lids were half opened and spilled all over my seats as well. I can understand running behind, i’ve worked in the industry and understand but making someone wait that long AND forgetting half their order is just ridiculous. I’ve never had such a frustrating experience...

I decided to go to Zaxby’s tonight (December 28, 2023). I’ve never had this kind of great service before at Zaxbys. The lady on the drive through speaker was exceptionally friendly. She did not hesitate to answer my question about substitutions and was helpful with my annoying order with extra sauces. I got to the window and was greeted very politely by an employee who took my payment and assured me my order would be out in a few moments and apologized for the short delay. They hand me my order and I completely forgot to ask for extra seasoning on my fries and another ranch and proceeded to hand her my payment again for the sauce. The sweet lady said not to worry about it, that it was not a problem and she would grab it for me right away. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful making for a good experience which is hard with fast food these days unfortunately. I got home and my food was still very hot. The whole thing was fresh and my wings were well sauced. You can tell the kitchen did a great job preparing my food as well. It tasted amazing and I could not find anything wrong with my experience tonight even if I tried. This was a great experience for a...
