Rooster's Flowood — Restaurant in Flowood

Living in Fondren, I've been eating at Roosters for over a decade and because I work in Flowood I was excited about getting to have Rooster's for lunch. I get the same thing each time - grilled tenders as they are well prepared, always fresh and I try to avoid fried foods. Well, I learned yesterday the Flowood location won't have grilled tenders as an option. The order taker did not know this and asked another worker about it and was told this location won't have grilled tenders because "grilled tenders take 25 minutes to make." If it takes 25 minutes to make a grilled tender, then somebody needs more training on a grill. Waffle House will have you out a grilled chicken breast in 8-10 minutes or less, max. Yet, Rooster's can't cook a grilled tender which is thinner than a breast in under 25 minutes? So, if you want a fried chicken tender, you're in luck in Flowood because Rooster's just gave you another option in the fried chicken tender "Mecca" of Mississippi, Flowood. But, if you want one grilled, you're out of luck until Huey...

First time ive had roosters. It was pretty good. The burger was cooked really good and was a fresh handmade patty. I would say the patty and bun were a 5. My problem with the burger was that it had no sauce on it at all. It didn’t even have ketchup. They had mustard on the table and gave me a packet of mayonnaise, but no ketchup. The menu showed that you could buy extra sauce but it didn’t list any of the sauces. I got the mashed potatoes and gravy as my side, which wasn’t bad but it was kind of bland. I had to put a good bit of salt and pepper on them. I know they just opened so I expect they will get it done right.

They also need to add some descriptions to their menu Items. They have things listed like the stupid burger, nacho burger, and the fryfecta, but it gives no description. I don’t really want to ask the cashier to explain everything on the menu and hold...

Let me start by saying the people up front were very friendly and professional however the people in the kitchen/back need more training on professionalism. I ordered 2 salads to go today around 5pm and when I checked the food before leaving, I noticed the plastic to go containers were melted together and warped so I asked for the food to be remade since plastic can be harmful. Well who I’m guessing may be the manager brought the food to the back and was talking to a girl in the back and the girl tried to just put it in different containers. When I told them no I wanted them remade, one of the cooks got an attitude with me and dramatically threw the food away. Needless to say I did not eat the remade food and I won’t be returning to the flowood location. Never have I had this problem at the...
