The food was absolutely amazing. I had never been before, so I was worried it might be tragic. However, everything I had (mixed fajitas) was delicous. The chip dust as I call it, was different but awesome. The salsa was good. The margarita I had was excellent.
The server we had was excellent but jt felt like the one guy was running the whole front of house. He was very good at what he did. The margarits took a little longer than I personally liked but the bartender kept us informed on how long til jt was done.

Read moreThere are Mexican restaurants in the region (El Sombrero, e.g.) that have similar atmosphere. It's not the best, but not the most expensive, either, so it's a good value. If you're trying to impress a date maybe try the pricier spot. But if you want to catch dinner with the family or just meeting friends for drinks and nachos, it's just right. Two things put El Torero head & shoulders above those "similar" restaurants: friendly wait staff who seem to WANT to take care of customers, and the depth of the menu. We'll be eating here...
