Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Foley

Ordered an ice cream cake with alterations for my daughter's 3rd birthday exactly how she requested. Order placed on 18th, for 22nd pickup at 12pm. Go there this afternoon, with a just turned 3yo who has been excited for this specific cake for the last month straight talking about all the specifics. Manager said no orders had come through, I stated I should have called to verify I suppose and she stated calls haven't been coming through either. She offered me to purchase a different cake from the available options. My child wouldn't have accepted that, none had flowers, the colors she wanted or the sprinkles she wanted.

I'm pretty upset, frustrated and disappointed in this location. Purchasing another cake at full price is NOT a resolution.

Update: I contacted corporate, who contacted the owner who called me in about a half hour. He had someone at the other Dairy Queen location in Foley create another cake. It wasn't exactly what we wanted, still it was extremely close and to be done within an hour was completely unexpected. I don't think they had any of the flowers on hand for the design. I spoke to a lady named Jay at the second location, and an hr after the owner called, the cake was ready to pick up. She was super sweet and was looking out for me to see if i was there for the cake. They gave us the cake vs charging us due to it being a smaller size, being without the flowers and a few small design flaws from how fast they worked to do it (that in my opinion are basically not noticeable in these photos!). My daughter was happy, she got the ice cream cake she'd been asking for for over a month and I really appreciate the owner and Jay. I recommend the Mackenzie Street DQ vs Keller Road. We live here and decided to have a good meal after movie. Cashier was very ignorant, my son wanted mushroom and swiss burger and I had to ask him 4 times before he responded that they don't have mushrooms .We ordered cheeseburger and I told cashier that my son has allergies and we want only meat ,pickles and onions, no dressing and ranch on the side for fries I had chicken box.We choose table,food came quick but was no ranch so I went back to ask for it when I back to table my son informed me that was no onions I went ask for it and lady was not helpful she walked with me to table to see that wasn't onions there , and when for 3rd time I had to walk there manager told me I had to bring recipient to see what we ordered,at this time food was cold and I went to table to get recipient I noticed my sons cheeseburger has mustard and ketchup while we ordered it plain,so I took all food and told cashier to refund it , he ignored me ,so I asked for manager, after long time she came and begin to argue instead of trying to help she start touch our food and telling me that we got everything we ordered. First, I ordered the honey bbq strips & was rudely told they were out of honey bbq, which is fine. So instead, I ordered the 4 piece strip and was told “I told you we’re out of strips. I ordered a cheese burger with ONLY Mayo & ketchup as my son is picky. I got my receipt & it said only ketchup & mustard. I immediately told the cashier, who was too busy yelling at the other employees to listen. This must be why she didn’t hear me the first time. I explained to her that the burger was incorrect she then yelled to the kitchen saying, “this girl ordered her burger wrong, I need one with Mayo and ketchup.” I was then instructed to pull to a curbside spot & wait for my order, assuming it would have to be fresh, which I should not have assumed. The girl who brought my order out was actually really sweet, but when I opened up the burger to give it to my son I saw mustard in the wrapper. I then opened the burger up and the mustard and pickles were literally scraped off. There was also a hair in the wrapper. As for my ice cream, it was very messy.
