Scuttlebutt Pub — Restaurant in Foley

Asked the bartender some questions about tequila and she couldn't be bothered - just straight up told us that if we ask her opinion, she is only going to recommend the most expensive one in the house on principle - then she walked away in the middle of what we thought was going to be a conversation and never returned to us. Then we were grossly overcharged. Should have been $40 bill and they tried to charge us over $60. They took a couple drinks off the tab (that shouldn't have existed in the first place since we didn't have that many), and it only took the bill down to $51. Just paid it and got the hell out. We won't be back, and now, neither will any of our neighbors. Anyone want the coupons we won in trivia? We won't be using them. Since this incident we've spoken with a couple of other people who had the same experience here. Major scam alert at Scuttlebutt Pub...

Not really sure why this bar gets the ratings it does but my visit was a little bit different than most. Probably locals supporting their hometown bar. 1st off - they have a super high minimum for credit card payment and seem to only deal with cash. Great for locals who know this but for a traveler like me, not so much. Two pool tables in the back that definitely work but need some attention. If you want music of your liking be prepared to pay for it. Anywhere from $.25 - $1.00 per song. No craft beers either. Your typical Bud, Bud Light scenario. Went here a few days before Christmas and it's a great bar to have fun and talk to people. The bartender was amazing and made some good drinks for us. I can't remember his name but he's great! The female bartender wasn't so friendly. I had misplaced my credit card and went back the next day right before they opened to ask if I left it there and was given an attitude and told to come back when they opened in 20 minutes because she was busy.
