I wanted to give my friends a night out with country line dancing. I had done it in the last at another location and always had fun. I spent 2 weeks hyping this up and getting everyone excited. We chose to come here since it was closer to us. We had 14 people, I called ahead and let them know and asked questions to make sure they could accommodate us. We walk in and obviously heads turned since we were a big group of people. One customer, an obvious regular, who takes her line dancing very seriously, looked at my friend who was Hispanic and asked her “are you lost?” Not exactly appropriate if you ask me. My friend is a way bigger person than me, cause I would’ve had a way different reaction. She just smiled and walked away. We are a very diverse group. The dj was super nice. He came over and introduced himself and explained things to us. It came time to dance and we were all out on the floor, as well as the regulars. They were not happy that we were having a good time, not being overly loud or obnoxious in any way, we were not there to “party” we were there for a good time. A few of the regulars actually went to the dj and told him that we were taking up too much space on the dance floor. Like multiple times. He actually came over and told us! How can we take up too much space? We were bumping into the tables and into each other trying to learn the moves. We couldn’t even do a two step we could only take one. The only time we were on the floor was during the “beginner” lessons. We didn’t even attempt the advanced ones. We gave them their dance time but we were an inconvenience during what was supposed to be our time. Imagine being asked to be smaller, “hey can you not exist so much” the waitresses started out super nice and friendly, but quickly got annoyed. We weren’t even demanding anything, half of us ordered at the bar. We were in no rush so no one needed to hurry with our drinks. My guess is that they’re not used to a big crowd like that. We spent a lot of money. We really wanted to learn something new and make it a weekly thing. I’ll be taking us to the other venue cause, even though the staff didn’t make us feel this way, I certainly would never ask my friends to be in an environment where they clearly were judged by their color. If that’s the crowd that hangs there, I’ll take my...
Read moreWent a little after 9pm on a Thursday. Considering that they recently confirmed to Google Maps that they close at 11pm on said day, you'd think they'd be open at least until 10pm or at least only have the bar open. Unfortunately, they were closed when I got there. I called and someone (who was still inside the building) said they closed so early because they were slow. So many businesses have been using COVID and inflation as excuses to just spit in the faces of customers, their workers, and their communities by pulling nonsense like this to cut back on costs. It really is unacceptable that a bar, of all places, would close 2 hours prior to their advertised...
Read moreAtmosphere was good... Music (DJ Sterl) was GREAT!!! In my opinion, they need an additional 1-2 bar tenders/servers. There was 5 Birthday tables with groups of people with 1 server, 3 bar tenders who all migrated to the same end of the bar at the same time instead of spreading out. Cover charge was $10, which was reasonable. Drink prices were average(based on what my friends ordered), food was pretty good, I had the cheesesteak sliders and I didn't drink bc of my 45 minute drive to get home...Overall, I had a nice time. I would...
