Mix it Up Bakery — Restaurant in Fond du Lac

Extremely disappointed with stopping today. We grew up here and visiting from out of state and very much enjoy mix it up. However after now three separate failed attempts over the last better than a week I’ve given up. Initially bakery was closed due to a vacation which is great, we are on vacation as well but most recently (today) we stopped before 11 to get donuts only to find that all that was left was donut holes. As we walked out a woman was loading several boxes of 1.5 dozen donuts into her van. Though I think it’s great that you were able to COMPLETELY sell out of donuts you did nothing for your other patrons. The business still had a couple hours before closing for the day. Perhaps she could have called in an order and you could have stocked according before selling everything! I can’t say that you lost a customer because fortunately for you I grew up on Everix and childhood memories mean more than your poor...

I was looking for a bakery to make a donut birthday cake for my granddaughter for her birthday, which led me to Angie at Mix it Up Bakery. After hearing me out about what I was looking for and her checking with the owner, Angie gave me some options as to what they could do. We settled on a round "long John cake" which was AMAZING!! The look on our granddaughters face was priceless when she saw it. It was BEAUTIFULLY decorated by Angie and she even wrote Happy Birthday on it. My husband and I agreed that it was the BEST Long John we have ever had! Angie was wonderful to work with and the staff that was working when we picked it up were VERY friendly. To the owners: keep doing what you are doing.....we HIGHLY recommend Mix...

In all my life I’ve never had donuts as good as the ones here. They are pillowy soft with a generous amount of filling. You can taste the freshness and the love put into the recipe. Freaking. Outrageous.

I grew up on Dunkin when they were still fresh baked on premises … and I thought THAT was good? Oh no no no. Mix It Up has donuts that are straight from bakery paradise. I am amazed. I haven’t come across a single one that I haven’t liked. Please don’t ever leave downtown FDL because I’ll never eat another donut again!
