We stayed at the Abbey for a quick getaway. I was excited to see a seemingly higher quality restaurant on sight. The ambiance was nice but I was concerned to see that ALL guests were packed to tables in same area of the restaurant (along the marina side) and they continued to pack guests into the same tables one right after the other with minimal sanitization. The lights of the Marina reflecting off the water were pretty at night. Our waitress was a bit crude for a seemingly classy facility. She "icked" when I orded tea with sweetener and lended her education to me, stating that we are in Wisconsin and sweet tea is only a Southern thing. Oddly enough (and I didn't correct her) however, I'm from very Northern Illinois and most people I know drink sweet tea. Anyhow, I looked forward to having the vegetable ravioli all day but I ended up bummed once I got it. It was undercooked, bland and extremely, extremely oily and the oil flavor was just strange, almost bitter-ish. The ravoil pasta part (noodle doh) was rubberish-hard. It was definitely not what I anticipated. I could only eat one ravioli. The filling of the ravoil was good. The bread was tasty with soft inside and crunchy outside. The tea was a rich, flavorful brew. I did add raw stevia sweetener for my taste buds which overall was a welcomed treat. My date had the burger with egg. He had no complaints other than it being way overpriced for what he didn't have to pay for LOL... The waitress climbed the seat behind us to give the bill to my guy which added more fun considering I was buying. I'd he curious to hear how the other veggie ravioli people felt about the dish. I give two stars because my dates dish was fine, the view was nice, and the...

I have been coming to the Abbey for a decade now. We attend their holiday brunches several times a year. This year was a Huge letdown for at $70 a head + gratuity. Presentation was very good. The service was very good too. The food was not great for the price and it was hot in the restaurant. I had my teenage daughter with me. The price for the two of us with tip was $160. I would have rather ate dinner at 240 west because the buffet food was terrible. everyone agreed the food was terrible. My daughter couldn’t even eat the crab legs and gagged because they tasted so bad. The eggs benedict was absolutely disgusting. The yolk was really cold and watery. The food should be eligible if you are paying $70 a person. I’ve never had a bad Eggs Benedict until today. The bacon was chewy. Even my daughter couldn’t eat it. The only thing that tasted good was the roasted strip loin which was 50% fat when sliced. I feel really bad because I invited my friend and her family for the weekend. I shared with them how amazing the Easter Buffet was at the Abbey. They were disappointed in the food. I’m embarrassed that I recommended it to them. We honestly had a better meal at Egg Harbor Café on Saturday. We will not be back next year. I called the restaurant to provide feedback and the lady said “sorry...

My husband and I had breakfast and the service and food need lots of work. We were seated and the hostess gave us the menu, but didn't mention the buffet. The server came around minutes later and never mention the buffet. My husband and I finally ordered breakfast. I ordered the chicken and waffles. HORRIBLE! They chicken was burnt, almost broke a tooth trying to eat the chicken. The hostess sat a couple at the table next to us and told them about the buffet. I asked my husband if he remembered anyone telling us about the buffet and he said, no. I approached the hostess and asked who/whom responsibility was it to mention the buffet, she said it's her and the server responsibility to mention the buffet to the customer. I told her she failed and so did the server. I told them and showed them the chicken wasn't edible. They apologize, too late because my breakfast was ruined. So, basically I paid $17.00 to eat one small waffle. Server need to be trained because she disappeared several times and the restaurant wasn't that busy. I will never eat at this restaurant again. Overpriced! Food was TERRIBLE! THE SERVER AND HOSTESS CAN USE MORE TRAINING. My husband and decided to eat at KFC for dinner instead of going back to...

240 West was delicious for both Saturday night prime rib & crab leg buffet, as well as the Sunday morning brunch. It would be nice if brunch started earlier than 9am. We had a wonderful dinner and a great server, Yessica. She was on top of our table of 8. Quick to clear our used plates, and to fill our drinks. We came in the next morning as a party of 6, and 4 of us enjoyed the brunch buffet. 2 of our party had to wait almost 40 minutes for breakfast ordered directly from the kitchen, which was only eggs & sausage. Their meal was comped. Brenda, our server was quick to refill our coffee, mimosas, and water. We will most certainly visit again when we return to the Abbey.

The convenience of a restaurant onsite is certainly an advantage. Wish the meal lived up to the nice ambiance of the restaurant/views. We had the duck entrée and chicken/shrimp gnocchi. Although the duck was okay the shrimp and chicken gnocchi were extremely salty. It felt as though the shrimp and chicken had soaked in salt water for days. Our appetizer was the popcorn cauliflower. Was tasty and a light appetizer before dinner. Slightly overbuttered but still good. Service from 'Jack' was very good and memorable- thank you! Live music was a nice touch [pianist playing]. For seating- would recommend sitting either next to fireplace or near window.
