To whom it may concern. I was in the Lake Geneva area on business today, I woke up this morning looking forward to sitting down and having a great cup of coffee and a muffin at a local establishment. Google lead me to the Coffee Mill. When I walked in, It reminded me of a small version of a great coffee joint I had been to in Juneau Alaska. I was immediately taken back as I was not greeted by either worker in the establishment. There were only 2 customers at the time. As I was standing there waiting for someone to acknowledge or ask if they could take my order, a lady walked in and stepped in front of me as if I wasn’t even there. She was immediately, kindly greeted by whom I’m guessing was the owner and put her order in for multiple coffees. I was very taken back by the fact that I stood there and overlooked as if I was invisible. I turned and walked out, went across the street to the shell station and got a cup of coffee with better customer service than your establishment. You need to work on your customer service, all of your customers should be...
Read moreSuper charming, cozy and comfortable coffee house with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Very kind staff, and great atmosphere. They support local too. Muffins are baked locally, and brought in two times per week I was told. They look amazing, but I must have received an old one as it was very dry and dense, and there was no offer to warm it. Iced mocha was perfect in the amount of chocolate and sweetness, but too bitter and burnt tasting for my palate. Had an upset stomach in minutes and my purchase of both was not consumed. Super bummed:(
Update - returned 6 months later to try this super cute coffee house again. Iced mocha is fabulous today - one of the best I have had. Not too sweet, smooth coffee flavor, and perfect amount of ice served again by kind staff. Today's muffin, still frozen solid in the middle. Edges totally edible though, and very good. Still a lot of good happening at this busy coffee shop! Love that there are so many seating options! Maybe a...
Read moreThe character of the place is 5 stars as is the friendly, staff. A touch pricey though it is a product of the area. Baked oatmeal very, flavorful, hearty, and robust... almost the texture of granola- 5 stars. I had an iced americano which is my standard go-to. Due to base shot total being one less than the service standard (so two fewer than my taste buds), I made it a quad shot which as a consequence bumped the price. I also prefer a more earthy, full flavor espresso slightly lower in acidity. Due to these combinations I'd rate this average for my palate. However, to finish on a plus, the staff was accomodating in steaming and dissolving some sugar in the raw (the only sweetener route to go in my opinion) to top off my drink- a trick I recently learned at a hometown coffee shop while traveling in Idaho. Definitely worth a stop, if for nothing else because it is the most homegrown espresso shop...
