Acevedo's Market Liquor and Burritos — Restaurant in Fontana

Based on the good reviews, I was hyped, however, in the end that's all I got, hype. I ordered two burritos and some beers, but was severely disappointed.

-1 star for OVERCHARGING ME ABOUT $3. I paid with debit card, and they DO NOT provide an itemized receipt, but when I got home and crunched numbers, it turns out they owe me about $3. Also, they charge like 75cents to use your debit card.

-1 star for not having prices available for the drinks, beers, and other liquor store items.

-1 star for having the MOST EXPENSIVE BEERS that I have ever bought at a regular liquor store. I think a 32oz beer was like $6.50 BEFORE taxes and CRV!

-1 star because the BURRITOS DID NOT LIVE UP TO THE HYPE. The handmade tortillas were not that good, they were too doughy, they reminded me of mochi, as in the Japanese ice cream. Weird texture. The breakfast burrito was not a Mexican style breakfast burrito either, imagine a Jack in the Box burrito but 4x bigger, that's what this place served me. And the bean and cheese burrito did not have enough beans and cheese, it was mostly tortilla (see photo). The salsa was "meh."

Overall, my recommendation is to STAY AWAY. However, if you decide to try this place out, tally up your charges, so that you are not overcharged on already expensive items, like I was. This place's business model is provide super expensive drinks for the people who buy hot food. This is how they make...

I love this Mexican restaurant BUT the liquor store owner , ruined my experience. I order from the restaurant, sweet patient workers .I asked for a cup of water and they said to ask the front (liquor store cashier) blonde lady , I had ask "can I have a cup of water please " she said yes its a dollar . I replied with "ill get two " once I saw how big the cups were . I paid and went to go fill up my cups , the manager said "let me refill this , pointing at the ice . I said okay and he filled up the ice , I then asked "where's the water " he said "oh we don't have water " im like well what did i just pay for . He said "you asked for a cup of ice "and looked at the cashier says "didnt she ask for ice " cashier looked either scared or i dont know ... but she agreed i asked for ice ...i put the cups down and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge instead just to be told "thats a dollar too" ... the owner was very upset i put the ice back and grabbed a water bottle ... telling me little things like im the problem. When all i wanted was water ): WORK ON YOUR COSTUMER SERVICE. I was not treated...

Local dive for burrito's, I am partial to their steak and onion, bean and cheese. Awesome food, probably not for the total health food nut, but if you like authentic good food, this place will not let you down. Homemade tortillas etc. If you show up at 11:30-12, expect to wait a while, this place is not hurting for business. If you see a slightly rundown environment and leave, then don't walk in. That said, food is awesome and staff is friendly when they have time to do anything but work getting your food done, worth the wait and clean, just not new. Edit: Changed from 5 starts to 3. The previous owners sold the business. Food is still mostly the same, new owners put a decent amount into cleaning up, renovating and opening up the place ~but at the expense of the food. Now it is smaller burritos which are often enough far too much tortilla for the smaller portioned fillings. I would have kept it at 5 stars had they kept the food the same and simply increased the prices, the inflation through skimping leaves the food...
