Pampeno’s Good Eats and Sweet Treats — Restaurant in Ford City

Been here once before. The food is good, seemed like pretty small portions. I ordered two eggs, over medium (done perfectly), sausage patty (tasty, but could've been better), homefries (they're done in a deep fryer, would be better on a flat top with onions and peppers), and white toast. Pretty basic. The coffee was hot and tasted great! Ordered a grapefruit juice, but got a grape juice (they don't have grapefruit juice). Ketchup and hot sauce were delivered in small plastic cups ( a little wasteful, but they may be holding on to CoVid policies). The waitress was mediocre. No smile. Didn't offer any suggestions. Didn't offer a name. Very impersonal. The place was steady with customers. Everyone seemed to know each other. It's nice to see a little place like that. I thought the decor and atmosphere were trying to be cute but felt cheap. Definitely was an old garage before this. Our server was attentive to a point but she was new and didn't know menu items on her iPad ordering system. Also was very busy, none of that her fault. However I can see why this place is so busy, the food was great and there's a lot of it. Come hungry. This place accepts plastic and cash so no problem there. We are homeschoolers and spent the morning at Pampeno’s while we did our school work. The atmosphere was friendly and quiet. Lots of patrons came and went while we were there.

My children ordered the fun, animal shaped pancakes with sides of bacon and sausage. My son said it was the best meal he has had at a restaurant in probably his whole life!
