Akita Express — Restaurant in Forest City

It's (American) Japanese express food.

If you like hibachi take out. This is it. It's the best in town, by far. Insanely fast. Large portions. Great taste. The food is considerably better than all the other take out Japanese places. It's half the price of most the others. It's not full of weird hipster servers acting like I'm at a real restaurant.

It's not a fancy sit down restaurant. And the service is exactly what I want. Dude takes my order and walks off. Brings my food back within a couple minutes. I don't have to wait on the server attempting to flirt with girls half his age like the place across the street. In. Out. On with life.

(also I don't like sugar glue so if you only eat 'teriyaki' this review might be wrong...

Went yesterday for breakfast since they are open at 10:30 😁 Food was GREAT as always. Had placed my order and received my delicious, hot & fresh food within 5 minutes. DEFINITELY go here if you've never been. Only downfall is they are closed on Sundays 😭 Wished they'd open one Sunday a month at least but I know they work hard and do a great job so I will continue to come as long as they are in business, even if they are closed on Sundays ! I have been coming to this place for a loooong time. The chicken is king here, the customer service is not. They give great portions of whatever you order, and seem to use quality ingredients. The owner seems awesome and respectful. The owners kids, should not be forced to work here: as the young man and woman’s attitude and behaviors are unwelcoming, condescending, and just shout “go somewhere else, like right across the street where there are 2 other stores just like this but...
