This is going to be my preliminary review. I will update it after they have been open for a little while and we revisit. Good points: The food is delicious. The food comes out from the kitchen fast. The food has great flavor profiles. The wings have great unique flavor options, and they are pretty sizable for an appetizer. The sweet buffalo was an amazing sauce! They should offer the sauce as an option for the chicken sandwich along with the other wing flavors. The burgers are delicious. The French fries have a seasoning on them that I believe is parmesan or Parmesan garlic or something very good also. The beer is good and strong too. It's a nice setup, well decorated, decent parking options, and a great outdoor patio space. The staff is friendly and attentive. The feedback/ recommendations: First and most overpowering it is extraordinarily loud. Being that it's a brew pub it is understood however they need to do something to add more decorations or something to absorb sound it gets so loud to where you are in a club atmosphere and having to scream to talk to the person next to you. We also had to scream at the person standing next to just to order our food. This is very distracting to what should be laid back fun environment. She did come out to the line with a handheld device to take our order however, which is fine but they don't have any paper menus laying out yet and the TV switches too fast to read the menu on the 1 TV screen. Now they do have three TVs on the wall above where the bar area is that they could use one of those on and off for an additional menu to help the line prepare to order when they get to the front that would save time and frustration for everyone. The line to the register is long and goes down the middle of the seating area where the tables are inside. They could stand to use a second register or perhaps direct the line to go towards the front door versus the middle door so it doesn't get crazy right by where people are eating. This could be resolved by putting a sign that says line starts here or something of that nature. The menu could have a few more options maybe like a flatbread pizza or perhaps some different sides other than french fries. Person next to us had the strawberry salad and it looked pretty sizable and fresh. We noticed quite a few people were getting the beer flight which seemed to be pretty popular. It may benefit you guys to offer larger sizes of the beers like a tall option for example. The sweet and spicy flavor that's supposed to be on the chicken sandwich doesn't taste spicy or sweet Just taste kind of oily. I don't know if they gave me the wrong thing or what I did ask for a side of it also but either way I think I would prefer to have one of the wing flavors on my sandwich going forward. They were out of the barbecue sandwich already and it was a little after 530pm while their hours are listed until midnight. They also were out of the Cuban sandwich and I believe one other item. This was a bummer because I didn't really want to get something else but I ended up getting the chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I wish they had drink options other than just beer and wine and then water or soda. It would be nice especially since it's summertime to have an iced tea option especially for those of us who do can't drink or don't drink soda. Last but not least I think that instead of having all long tables that are six people maybe have some four tops or two tops you had a lot of tables with unused chairs because they were smaller parties of people so maybe a mix would be better.
I hope this review is helpful and I look forward to watching you guys grow in downtown Forney and it's great to have you guys as an option when we go out! Great work so far...

Drinks - They have delicious beers but for those who prefer wine and cocktails, they have those too!! Something for everyone. Water stations too so you can stay hydrated. YES, they have lids, just ask someone for one.
Food - AMAZING!!!! There are so many chain restaurants in Forney which is a huge NO GO for me. All their food from the salads to the burgers to the wings to the pizza is delicious. I haven’t had anything I haven’t thoroughly enjoyed and I’ve been there many times since opening. I love that the chef is now having rotating specials (shoutout to the new wedge salad and pesto pizza - YUM!) and I can’t wait to see what they add next. The fries are CRACK… seriously addicting. And don’t get me started on the Thai chili wings. Always cooked crispy and to perfection and the sauce on them is to die for.
Service - Excellent, personal, professional and attentive. If there is ever any issue big or small, they make it right quickly. Speak up if anything is off and they will address it to make sure you leave happy! They are also a fun group of staff and a joy to be around. It’s like Cheers!! They greet you with a smile, make you feel special and go out to their way to tell you that they appreciate your business every time.
Ambiance - FUN!!!!! The music they play as well as the live music on weekends is always A VIBE. Cowboys games will be on the TV soon and I can’t wait!! If it’s packed it can get a bit noisy but in the best way. Who wants a quiet brewery anyways?? Everyone is having a great time enjoying themselves and it’s a perfect place to meet new locals, relax and sip. If you have kids, there is a green space and some fun games outside alongside with the patio to keep them occupied while the adults take their time.
I can’t recommend this place enough. If you haven’t been, RUN, don’t walk! I’ll see you there!!
…but was it good?...
Read moreFirst, let me start off by saying I am absolutely thrilled that we have a brewery in downtown Forney! Prior to FBC opening, people out this way were having to drive 40+ mins to Dallas, Cedar Creek or Rockwall to go to a brewery. I humbly think that this brewery is going to absolutely thrive because of it! While I do wish the inside was dog friendly because of how hot it gets here in Texas, I understand that a majority of breweries that have a kitchen inside and prep food, do not allow dogs inside. I am happy they at least are dog friendly on the outdoor patio! I came in today with our black lab Molly and there were only two other people on the outdoor patio. Within 20seconds of sitting down, I had a waitress come out and ask me if she could get myself and my dog some water. Fantastic service right off the jump and it stayed that way the entire time I was there. Started off with a hazy IPA which came out with an orange slice on the rim, didn’t touch the orange slice but the beer was ice cold and delicious. At first I thought maybe they mixed my order up with their Hefeweizen but the waitress said that’s how they serve the hazy IPA, is with an orange slice. After that I had their lager which was fantastic! Ended the afternoon with another hazy that wasn’t served with an orange slice. I think some type of sun shades that pull down for the exterior of the outdoor patio will be a game changer during peak sun hours of the day. The outdoor patio has 4-6 large ceiling fans but it’s Texas folks, it’s HOT no matter what. All in all, great first experience, so happy we have a brewery in town and I can’t wait to come back and try the food. FBC is a game changer not only for Forney, but for...
