Me and four other teachers made an order to Shane’s for lunch this past Friday. Teachers have made lunch orders from Shane’s in the past and when hitting a certain amount in revenue there was no extra fee for delivering the food to the school. Going on this thought process, five of us made a lunch order to be delivered. When we received our food we noticed that there were three different service and delivery fees totaling $24. A delivery fee for $6.75 (which we were surprised by due to exploitation above but also can understand) and two other fees for $7.79 for service and something else. Neither of which we knew about or agreed to. Not only that but we were also taxed not just on our food but on the tip and they gave themselves and the fee. I contacted the store manager and was greeted with kindness and what seemed like help but after not getting a call back Friday afternoon as I was told I would and then my calling today with no answer, here I am. Personally, I don’t mind paying for fees WHEN I KNOW ABOUT THEM and can make the choice for myself. The problem comes when people are blindsided. If we had known, we would not have made the order in the first place. I have a feeling Shane’s is going to loose some business from the teachers down the road. This is unfortunate on both accounts, both for Shane’s business and for the teachers who need something nice to treat themselves or for lunch when they didn’t have time running out the door from staying up way too late grading papers. Also, More often than not, when I order from Shane’s something in my order is missing. It’s usually minor things like a straw, utensils or the dip I requested but when it’s often, it’s a problem. On top of that, there’s an up charge for sweet potato fries (which I know and have come to accept) however, not only is there an up charge but then you get a 1/3 less than you would with a regular side. Just all around disappointed and waiting to be reimbursed those fees...
Read moreLast Thursday evening, I stopped in to pick up two pounds of barbecue. As I waited for my order, I noticed how friendly, helpful and personable the three front-of-house employees were. They were smiling and seemed to enjoy interacting with customers. At one point, the cashiers helped a Doordash driver take a large order out to her car. While they were doing that, a customer walked in and the young lady who was taking food to the tables jumped in on the register to help out. In a day and age when customer service seems to be a lost art, it was refreshing to see people who are committed to doing a great job and doing it with a smile. Shane's, you are fortunate to have these three young ladies on your team. Oh, and the barbecue was...
Read moreMy family visited this location on Sun early evening. It was the worst food I'd ever had from there. I ordered grilled tenders w/ fries, my husband ordered the loaded Buffalo fries with fried chicken , my son ordered a kid's cheese burger. We waited over 25 mins for our food ( Yes i know it takes time to cook the burger , but she told them while we're finishingup ordering. ). Husband food was cold and hardly had any fries in it. my grilled tenders were way over cooked to the point I could barely chew it they were so tough. kid's fries were lukewarm. The young ladies that were working really acted like they really didn't want to help us after they took our order. Shane's is one of the few restaurants...
