I'm puzzled by some of the low ratings. My wife and I are not fussy, but we are particular, and last night's delivery dinner was top notch. We were told that the order would take 25 minutes to prep and deliver. It arrived in 15 - piping hot, very carefully packaged. The two wonton soup orders were sealed in plastic bags as an extra precaution. The grilled pork loin had an unexpected smoky flavor. A bit dry, but that's the risk with lean pork. Tasty and satisfying nonetheless and the dryness was not a reason to take away a star. The mussels were fresh-tasting and large. The tempura was hot, crunchy, and made for a great app. The wonton soup was traditional except that the wontons were sized smaller than you'd expect, but there were many in each serving. The steamed shrimp Shumai were chewy and also tasty, especially the dipping sauce. The flavor of the shrimp came through. I used the YELP delivery search feature (THANKS YELP DESIGNERS!), which gave me an opportunity to not only search Asian restaurants but also compare menus and prices. East Moon's prices were in line with many other similar restaurants. BTW, BONUS - NO delivery fee! As another yelper commented, you can order online but not pay online. They will in fact call you for your credit card - FAST. I'm ok with that process. Don't know the reason for this. Maybe to prevent fraud? In any event, East Moon has been here for many, many years and we've not eaten here for some time, mainly because of having so many choices in this great town, but because of last night's positive experience, we will add East Moon to our regular rotation.

I’ve eaten at East Moon tons of times and I love it! The sushi, sesame chicken, stir fry dishes, crab rangoons (crab mixed in the cheese which is a plus) tempura, Thai spring rolls, peanut sauce and soups are all standouts. They also give huge portions. The delivery and takeout is fast, like really fast, and the waitresses are good at their job. There is one sushi chef and it’s fun to watch him in action. The restaurant is very clean with a good vibe.

I spent like $30 on the moon chicken plate when you hear chicken you think sliced chicken or something. Nope ! You get ground chicken from a can! With some vegetables of course ! If I wanted this meal I would've watched a pioneer woman episode of her trying to create Asian food ! It's like I spent all that money for a gym bros meal prep it looks like dog food !

I never write reviews, but tonight my boyfriend and I decided to get East Moon for take out.

We ordered online at 6:05 and received a confirmation email that the order had been accepted and that it would arrive in 50 minutes at the latest.

I received a call at 6:57 asking for my payment info. I asked the employee if my food was out for delivery and she said that they were very busy and it hadn’t left the restaurant yet and that it’d be quicker to just come into the restaurant. I asked her when we should expect to pick it up by and she said in 20-25 minutes and that she’d switch the order over to pick up instead of delivery.

I arrived at the restaurant around 7:25 and waited until about 7:50 until I was the last person waiting for my food for pick up. The manager finally came over to me and admitted that my food had actually never been prepared and they supposedly never received my order. Then she came back a few minutes later and said that the order was out for delivery to my house.

The manager was extremely impatient with me and she was implied that this mix up was my fault. She initially gave me a 25% discount and then I had to wait another 15-20 minutes and I decided that after 2 hours of waiting, I deserved a full refund. She refused and said she could only give me $5 more off my check. I handed her my card to give me the $5 and she came back with a receipt that showed the entire order was voided. I assumed she agreed to give me the refund but when I asked for my food she rudely told me that I had supposedly asked her to cancel the order and not give me my food (?). She finally settled and gave me 50% off and I left with mediocre food and spent my valentines evening waiting 2 hours AND THEN was treated like this was my fault and that I was impatient for only waiting 2 hours.

In summary: if you want quick service, dine in and do not take out (especially on holidays). Don’t be surprised if you’re treated badly at this establishment because they do not care if they lose customers. HORRIBLE customer service..I’ve never been treated this way in my entire life. I’m only a college student and I have worked in customer service jobs, I understand how difficult it is to have impatient customers. I also was taught that the customer was always right, but apparently they do not believe that here.

I will never be returning. This is how my Valentines Day turned out!...

Terrible food, I have had microwave frozen asian food that had better texture and flavor than the food here. We ordered take out chicken pad thai and sesame chicken and egg rolls. The pad thai was very bland, the noodles were very overcooked and mushy. The sesame chicken had the consistency of something that had been microwaved and had almost no flavor at all. They had possibly the worst service I have ever had at a restaurant and I just placed at take out order! I placed a take out order on the phone, even made sure to say that it was a take out order twice, and then the girl on the phone told me it would be ready to pick up in ten minutes. I went to the restaurant 10 mintues later and one of the girls working their asked for my name and told me my order would be right up. They let me sit their for 10 minutes on a bench waiting, while 5 waitresses stood around the bar and talked. Then one of them walked up and asked me my phone number. Then she asked if I called the wrong location when I ordered. Another couple minutes went past and the lady in charge brought out all the slips and said she didnt have mine. Another couple minutes go by and she tells me its been delivered to my house (I did wonder why she asked for my address, thats why I said it was a take out order again...). Then she tells me I have to go back to my house to get the food ASAP because I was holding her delivery man up. She said sorry in a sarcastic tone, like she thought I was an idiot. Then charged me full price for it. They clearly dont care about customers here. Dont waste your...
