My 12 y/o son and I stopped in tonight (3/27/2025) to grab a couple dozen donuts. We tried to open the door and it was locked, yet we saw 3 workers inside and one customer checking out. I looked at my watch and it was 7:00pm exactly and I looked down at the door and the hours listed until open until 7pm. I looked up and the 3 workers inside were lipping to me that they were closed. One of them even walked to the door to say through the door they were closed. I’m just amazed that instead of letting us in to get some donuts (that would have taken all of 4 minute) they literally walked to the door to say they were closed and did not let us in. If I owned this business I would lose my mind if my employees treated customers like this. Especially a 12 year old and his dad. I have spent thousands of dollars on donuts at this store buying donuts for my family, friends and 3-4 dozen at a time for employees about once a month. I will never return to this location or any of the others as a result of this experience. I’ll go to the new crispy cream or another local spot. I’m not old, but I’m old enough to remember customer service and local companies taking pride in taking care of their community. This was the exact opposite of community and...
Read moreUnfortunately very poor and judgmental service. I was the first person in line behind another couple being served and a young man getting coffee. When the lady cashier finished with her customer getting coffee I stepped forward and ordered a coffee. The employee replied "just coffee?" paused looked at my clothing and mask (she was not wearing one) and then abruptly told me I needed to wait in line and walked away to help the person who had walked in befind me. During this time a group of three elderly folks had walked in. Even the elderly gentleman she stepped away to help asked if I was in front of him. I felt very judged and disrespected by the cashier who seemed more interested in flirting with the man her age she was initially serving than providing equally...
Read moreI love Lamar's donuts! Of the two locations in Fort Collins, this is the better location and I really enjoy eating donuts here. The donut selection is pretty good and you will certainly find your style here. The bars and apple fritters are large and delicious. My very favorite donut is the old-fashioned glazed, and anything topped with maple as a close second. The seating here always seems to be enough, since most people get their donuts and go. The staff is friendly and helpful. The parking lot isn't the easiest to get in and out of if you're traveling west, but there are always spots available in the morning. The donuts can be fairly pricey, but are still the best ones in town. Pro tip: Everyone knows you got the good stuff if you show up at work with a...
