Taqueria Los Cazos — Restaurant in Fort Lupton

Went in to place a large future dated order and decided to get some carnitas to go for brunch... big mistake! The carnitas were salty and tasted off but we initally thought they just over did it with the salt. The next couple of days of horrible stomach pain, vomiting and 'other' symptoms confirmed that those carnitas were in fact spoiled when they were served to us. Needless to say my future order had to be cancelled as there was no way I was going to feel comfortable feeding this to my guests. Even though it has only been 3 days between when the order was placed and cancelled due to the fact that they close during the middle of the week the owner refused to return our deposit. I should never have ignored those red flags from when he insisted we pay our deposit in cash and no such terms were ever discussed however its a small price to pay to ensure the safety of our friends and family. Guess they need that money more than we do. Hope the health department checks them out soon before more people...

The breakfast burrito I got was small as can be for 9 dollars… also it was minimum 8 hours old, the tortilla was brown and soggy the potato’s had holes in them like those weird trypophobia photos… if you don’t know what that is google it, I had to throw this away and go somewhere else, I wouldn’t recommend this place just based on how willingly they served me food that was inedible, I’ve cooked professionally my whole life, I wouldn’t make this review if I didn’t mean it, it was bad, go to...

I’m sure folks love this place as it was busy, and to go orders were flowing in and out. This place just wasn’t my personal favorite. And that’s ok. Not every place will be. It happens.

The place was clean and staff friendly.

The experience didn’t fill the flavor profile that I was expecting. There was something missing in the meal, everything tasted. The iced tea was also weak like water, so would suggest the soft drink option.
