My husband and I went in for breakfast upon entering we noticed it was really cold inside. However we decided to stay and eat. We were handed our menus and drink order was taken however it took almost 40 minutes to get our food once our order was placed, and they were not even busy (only 2 other patrons).
Our waitress was no where to be seen most of the time. Drinks needed to be refilled table to be cleared but no waitress around to help. The food was not the greatest i ordered cornbeef and hash with peppers, over medium eggs and toast. My eggs where under cooked and slimy, my cornbeef was cold and my toast was soft it looked like they just put it on a flat top and left it to warm on one side. My husband's food was ok he said could of been better.
Once we received our food the waitress didn't refresh drinks just dropped the food amd left. That was the first time we seen her after taking our order. Then she came back 30 minutes later to drop the bill off and walked away.
We will not be going back in the future. For what we paid and the quality of food and service we would of been better off going to Village...
Read moreSuch a cute little place I happened upon. Seems their claim to fame is the fact that a scene from a movie "Dear Eleanor" was filmed there. But, you know what? If you are in the mood for some homecooked food, this is the place!! No joke, no lie! The food is excellent!! As my previous post, I'd like to say a disclaimer: I generally do not like to rate or criticize food establishments.... there are too many dynamic variables to be fair. Having said that, here are my negative comments: some portion sizes are too small. The place is only open until 2. My chief complaint? The prices are too high!! The other day, I wanted to order 1 sourdough toast and 1 order of bacon.... $7+ dollars!! That is the price of some of their plates!! Now, in their defense... the bacon is awesome, as is the toast but, $8 dollars for a slice of bread and bacon slices? Idk? Just seems extreme? But, you know.... all in all... it is a great little place, especially if you want to eat there. Excellent small town atmosphere. I'd recommend...
Read moreSmall little diner. If you're missing a small town this is the spot for you. The diner itself is small, but not cramped. Two mix-matched rows of booths, odd paint on the walls, and a real highchair for the kiddo. The only thing missing was the group of 5 old gentlemen that have know each other since the 40's, drinking black coffee, and laughing about.
The service was top-notch. I forget the woman's name, but she was incredibly friendly, super professional, and all around fantastic. She made sure everything was perfect.
The lady had "Grannies Omelette" which was a piping hot slab of eggs filled with tons of sausage and covered in country gravy. I had the cod basket. Fillets were cooked perfectly and the fries were flavorful.
My daughter absolutely loved her waffle topped with strawberries and whipped cream.
So if you want a small town experience, this is the...
