Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and super tasty chicken! When I heard they were opening this location in Fort Mill, I was both excited and intrigued. I don't go to Charlotte often and have never been to their location there, I heard all kinds of great things about their food, but I never had it myself. Well, this place lived up to the hype and then some. We went on a Thursday evening around 7:30pm, after most of the dinner rush. There was no line, and our order was taken very quickly. The menu is limited, which is good because it allows for quick decisions and also allows them to focus on making things great. I had the basic chicken sandwich with fries and got a side of coleslaw. We got our food pretty quickly, in around 5 minutes or so. Everything tasted great! I'm a believer in Bossy Beulah's now! It was one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. The fries and coleslaw were great, too. Part of me wanted to get another side of slaw to take home for later. In hindsight, I should've. It was that good. They have a bar there for alcohol but it was not open or manned at the time, which wasn't an issue to me because I was there with my kids and wasn't there to have a beer. Good to keep in mind for future visits
Service was great, very friendly, quick, and very helpful if you were not familiar with their restaurant. Facilities were new, so everything was clean and orderly. They have plenty of seating, both indoor and outdoor, too. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking, but i could see where parking could be tight in leak rush hours. The lot seemed kinda small to me.
I absolutely LOVE how they retained the main structure of the old gas station / service center that it once was. It was a landmark place of old Town Fort Mill, and keeping it intact was a brilliant choice and gave the place a really cool retro feel. The location across from Walter Elisha Park is excellent, too. I can imagine in the future going to the park for a while, then walking across the street to have a beer and / or great chicken sandwich, too.
This place hot a grand slam home run for me. Excellent location, cool retro feel facilities and vibe, great service, and amazing food. We will definitely frequent it, as my boys both said it is their new favorite (non-mass-chain restaurant) chicken sandwich. Kudos Boss Beulah's Fort...
Read moreWell if you're looking for decent value, do NOT go here. This is a tough one to rate/review - because the service was excellent and very fast - which surprised me given the number of people that were there at 12:45 p.m. - height of lunch rush. So that will be the one positive part of my review. The food, however, was just...fine. Just okay. Better than Chik-Fil-A? Nope. Good value? No way. Expensive? YES!!! Way, way, way too expensive. I got the Cheesy Beaut meal - sandwich, side & drink (for reference, the same amount of food you'd get in a Chik-Fil-A meal). My meal was $17.44!! I mean - read that again! Almost $18! Sorry, but to me, that's simply outrageous for a chicken sandwich, side of slaw and a sweet tea. Outrageous. Again, for reference, a Chik-Fil-A Deluxe meal is $9.25 (albeit before tax). I mean, come on...$8 more to dine at just another fast-food chicken take-out place??? No thanks. I'll stick w/Chik-Fil-A which is right down the road. And for the record, a note to the owners of Bossy Beulah's: with prices that high, you're probably costing your employees their tips - because NO ONE is going to feel generous after shelling out that much for a sandwich. And lastly, the chicken patties don't need to be so thick. Thicker doesn't necessarily translate to better - and mine was so thick that it was difficult to eat...
Read moreFirst time coming here today. Drove by this place multiple times and said today's the day I need to try Bossy out. Let me start by saying the staff when I walked in greeted me and were super friendly and hospitable the entire time. I looked at the menu and thought the price was reasonable, but on the higher end. Well, my worries of the price drifted away quickly once I saw the amount of food I received. My first bite into the chicken sandwich was unrivaled! Chick-Fil-A, Popeyes... move over. A new champion is in town! The chicken was super tender and breaded to perfection. The bun couldn't handle the size of the chicken either. The fresh cut fries were seasoned great and tasted amazing! Bonus points for Bossy serving the best drink in the world, Coca-Cola! My worries of the price drifted away as I was fully satisfied after my meal. I've eaten at other places and paid the same, if not more, for worse quality food. Will definitely be back and will bring my family and friends as well. Thank you for a great...
