FES up time! Came back to Hobos after quite a bit of a hiatus: F(ood)- Yes, I ordered my burger well done but I’ve still had well done that had a bit of juice. This was pretty dry due to it being thick but small in circumference versus thinner and wider. I also did not care for the bun it came on- seemed a bit too dry for my taste. The onion straws were okay- more breading than onion. E(nvironment)- I think they have updated since last time I came! I loved the back to back booths because gave a sense of privacy from other tables. Nice long bar. S(ervice): *I have been a server before as was my food mate. Hosts at stand up front very friendly. Waited a standard time for server to address us. Took awhile for her to get our order. When we had questions she just said “I don’t know I’ve only been here a week” rather than ‘let me ask someone, I’m new here.’ We never saw her again (a food runner brought our meals) until we were waiting for our bills with my water cup drained as it was never refilled. She apologized. Positive- a manager (I believe) did come by once food was out to check if we had what we needed and I did say I had requested a side of ranch when ordering which she quickly brought to me. Hobos- you are in a prime spot! Unfortunately, with other new restaurants making their way to Main Street I’m not sure I’ll be back.

I'm not from around here but I'm visiting friends in the fort Mill area. We decided to go out for dinner and went to hobos. This place rocks. They had a guy on the guitar who was really very good but more importantly let's get to the food. First of all they have mother's milk. It is by far my favorite beer in the entire world ever. My friend had a 1893 whiskey sour. He seemed to enjoy it. For dinner my son had 18 wings. He probably could have finished all 18 of them but we stopped him at about 12. He wished the sauce was a little bit hotter but the wings were plump and juicy. My daughter had a cheeseburger what she said was cooked well and tasted really good. My niece had a wedge salad. She was amazed that it still came in a wedge shape. We cut it up for her and all was good. I'm just kidding she really enjoyed it. My wife had a pimento cheeseburger. I'll be honest I had no idea what pimento cheese cheeseburger was but I was afraid it was going to have olives in it. It didn't I wish they would just call it a red roasted pepper cheese then I would have devoured it. I tasted it it was delicious. Now the greatest sandwich ever created in the world is there Chicken and waffles sandwich. It was so good. And their secret ingredient is they put bacon in their waffle batter. I could go for another one right now.

We've been here a few times, as it's just around the corner from where we live. It can be a hit or miss, but it's super convenient for a spontaneous meal for us. This Tuesday late-afternoon visit was the best experience we've had at Hobo's so far. It was a perfect weather day on the patio. Service was fast and attentive. Pictured is the chicken and waffles sandwich, Cajun fries, and one of several craft brews.🍺🍻🍺 The one pictured is Dreamcatcher's Brewery "The Yard" - a fantastic IPA! It was my first time having that sandwich, and it'll be my go-to from now on. It was amazing! Wifey had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and Cajun fries. She really enjoyed her sandwich, too! We both agreed, though, that the Cajun fries were a bit too salty. We just mentioned that to the server, and she was quick to return a huge basket of regular fries for my wife and I to share, without us even asking for them. We thought that was great service! We hope the service and food continue in this manner, because today's visits set the bar very high. If you have not been to Hobo's yet, give it a try. They have a very good menu and draft beer selection and very reasonable prices. My wife and I give it four thumbs up on this visit (that's all the thumbs we have).😉👍👍👍👍

I’m not normally one to publicly bash a company especially a privately owned small business, but my recent experience at Hobo’s had to be one of the worst dining experiences I have ever had and I once was served a burger with only one side of the bun at McDonald’s. We recently drove an hour from mooresville to meet some friends in fort mill at Hobo’s for dinner and a few drinks. The place was fairly busy when we arrived so we did anticipate a wait. The hostess gave us a wait time of around 20 minutes or so, which was understandable as we had a larger party of 5. She took our number and informed us that she would call us when the table was ready. After approximately an 35-40 minutes we still had not received call so we went in and asked If we had been forgotten, to which they informed us that they were clearing our table off and cleaning it right at that moment. Ironically we could see multiple tables open and unattended, one of which in our sight line hadn’t been bused for the entire 30 minutes we were standing outside waiting, as they were “cleaning our table.” which leads me to believe it was not a social distancing thing. To make matters worse after waiting the additional 30 minutes they crammed the 5 us at a four person table outside(I literally had to hold my salad plate in my lap)After ordering our initial round of drinks it became a little chilly so we asked to be moved a table or two over so we could be under the heaters(there were a multitude of open tables, and people still waiting outside by the way)The waitress happily complied moved us and took our order. It’s worth mentioning that they never even wiped down the table we left so the whole “we are cleaning your table” thing seemed to be a bunch of bs. Any way after placing our order we were content knowing the food should be coming shortly; how long could a salad And some wings take right? Then we waited and waited and waited so more. After 20 min one of our party’s meals came out. The rest of ours came out Luke warm to cold 40 minutes later. Mind you these were not gourmet meals; a Greek salad, three cheese steaks, a burger and some wings. We did speak to the manager who frankly didn’t seem to care one bit nor did anything to try and rectify the situation. So after 3 hours and mediocre cold food it’s safe to say I won’t be going back nor would I recommend anyone to go to this establishment. Not one employee seemed to care, well really, about anything with the exception of the waitress who was very apologetic and kind. None of any of this was her fault. That’s 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back, and I would advise you stay away if you...

Overall very disappointed with our experience last night. This was the second time we visited during this pandemic, so I don’t think we can safely blame our experience on how COVID has affected businesses.

To start, we arrived at 6pm and we were told it would be a 20min wait. No big deal but we did notice there were several empty tables available. We just chocked it up to the restaurant trying to keep everyone socially distanced. However we noticed that a few of these empty tables did have food on them and they just hadn’t been bussed yet. At 6:40pm we went and checked on our spot in line and we were told our table was being cleaned as we spoke. Great! At 7pm we still weren’t seated. We went in and questioned this again and mentioned how we had now waited for an hour and we were told 20 minutes ago that our table was being cleaned. We were then finally brought to our table which happened to be a table that had been empty since we arrived to the restaurant at 6pm. Once we got sat our waitress was very nice and we got our orders in right away. We were enjoying the atmosphere and live music and we were overall having a good time. At about 7:20 one of our parties meals got brought out. Our waitress made a comment about how she wasn’t sure why they only made one meal and sent it and she would go check. This is when we really became irritated. By 7:45 we still had only received one of our meals and there was no sign of our waitress or the store manager to question where our meals were. When the other meals finally came out they were room temperature at best, which indicates the food had been sitting for some time.

We then decided it was time to speak to the manager. When he came over he wasn’t helpful. He did apologize for how long we had to wait, but he did nothing to rectify the issue with our food. This was extremely disappointing and by this point we were just ready to leave.

In this situation it’s hard to decide who is exactly at fault. However with numerous members of our party working in the public service industry it is probably appropriate to say that our entire experience was due to poor management. We unfortunately will not be going back to Hobos...

I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Hobo's and only recently got to run over there for a family meal. It was one of those extremely rare nights when the wife actually says it's burger night. We made B line. The place was thankfully not full yet, because the kids were going nuts.

We ordered some drinks, which came along very quickly. They had a pretty nice selection of local brews, which I always appreciate. Everything on the menu looks great, too. Lots of creative stuff. So we ordered the kids some food and also some for ourselves. We also ordered what we thought were going to be tater tots and it came out being some rather large potato things. We liked them, but I'd probably pass next time. I ordered a burger with some kind of apple thing on it (I cannot find a working menu at the time of the review).

When the food arrived, everything looked... okay. So... we didn't know that their thing is charring a burger fast and serving it (still properly cooked inside). If I had, I'd never have brought the whole family for the first attempt. I cannot ding Hobos for doing their thing. They do their thing very well, as evidenced by the massive crowds they attract on the daily!

However my older kid wouldn't eat the burger they served him because it was covered in char. I, similarly did not enjoy the layer of char on my otherwise perfectly prepared MR burger. Nor did my wife. The meat was very good on the inside, though. It's quality beef.

But the condiments on my burger (apple, bacon and stuff) looked like they'd cooked it a couple days prior, left it sitting next to the grill, and tossed it on the burger a few seconds before they served it. They didn't taste like much of anything by the time I'd gotten ahold of it. Sort of a condiment mush that was kinda, sorta maybe apple-like and if there was bacon I didn't notice. That's my main complaint. My wife's condiments looked similarly pathetic.

Waitstaff were great. Everyone was friendly, and the atmosphere was pretty good. So if you like the kind of burgers they make,...
