Overview: good food, great service, awesome pasta straws and finally a good nearby Italian restaurant....but I have some critiques. Appetizer: my party ordered the artichoke pull apart bread (not pictured) and it was amazing!! However, it took a while to get to the table and came out with the bread (which was also really late) and our main courses came out not even five minutes after then. Not enough time to really enjoy it and let it settle. That being said, it was absolutely amazing and I highly recommend the artichoke bread to other customers!! Main course: I got the chicken parm sandwich (pictured below) . I have a few issues with this. The breading was very bland and the bread was very dry/ big and took up most of the sandwich. The arugula was very good on it and helped with the moisture, but it was still very dry and bland. One of the other party members got the chicken Alfredo and the Alfredo was amazing! Very light and nice while still being Alfredo, but the chicken was again dry :/ but as far as the other pictured meals go, they were absolute hits!!! I think the chicken was really the main thing I had an issue with and could be improved if there was some flavoring in the breading or perhaps preparing the chicken a different way. Again, the other meals were amazing! Overall, I love the atmosphere of the place and the pasta straws were a great and creative touch. I’m writing this when this resturant has only been open less than 2 weeks and I believe that with time, it is very promising. I also believe that the manager walked around and made sure everything was alright, which I appreciate. Pleasant experience, just a little disappointed by the chicken!

We went for lunch. We started with the fried calamari: it arrived hot and crispy but would ask for the sauce to be on the side next time. The marinara and garlic aioli are on the bottom of the plate and by the end, the calamari was soggy. The breading could also use more seasoning. Caesar salad (side salad portion): it was a generous portion for $5. Dressing had a light lemon flavor which I really liked. And the homemade croutons were delicious. The Parmesan crisp at the top wasn’t crispy; it was a bit stale and chewy. Chicken Parmesan sandwich with rosemary fries: really good, especially the fries. The breading on the chicken needed more seasoning and it was a little on the burned side. The bottom of the sandwich was a bit soggy. Fries were hot and crispy. Pasta Bolognese: homemade pappardelle with a bolognese sauce that included meatballs, beef short ribs, and Italian sausage. Very unique and so good. Kids cheese pizza: high quality cheese on a delicious crust. My 9yo loved it. Generous size for $8. He could only eat 3 of the 6 slices. Our server was friendly and polite and checked on us without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered our questions patiently. I also like that he gave recommendations when asked to choose between dishes vs just saying everything is good. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and will be back to try more of the menu.

Caprese Salad with heirloom tomatoes... Should read fresh mozzarella with most of a single roma tomato and a chopped up basil leaf. The balsamic vinegar & breadcrumbs were fine but basil and tomatoes should really be at the heart of this dish. Very disappointed. Eggplant Parmesan with spaghetti. The eggplant was ok but stuck together like lasagne since we ordered to go. The spaghetti noodles were soft but the sauce... My husband asked if it was like Chef Boyardee. I shook my head and said, "that would have more flavor." I passed him my plate and he asked, "Is there such a thing as water tomatoes?" Thankfully pesto sauce came with the eggplant parmesan so I mixed all of it in there and added fresh parmesan from my refrigerator. Again, pretty disappointing as a sauce should be the star of the dish. Husband's bolognese was salty but generously portioned. It was the best of the three items we ordered. It was his dish so I didn't get a picture. We won't be back. Portofino's is way better and similarly priced but every entree comes with a salad! The highlight is neither my husband or I finished our dishes. We ate fewer calories since none of it was really delicious.

We’ve been coming here for years and honestly, we’ve always enjoyed the food. It’s been one of our go-to spots, and we’ve eaten here so many times, especially since we like supporting local restaurants. But lately, the service has been so bad, we've thrown in the towel here. After three straight visits where we left frustrated and disappointed and have watched other dinners clearly frustrated as well.

They've charged us for bigger glasses of wine without even telling us. Just be upfront about it, and don't lie to our face, saying you asked us if we wanted the larger pour, which we were not asked prior. Then there was the time we specifically asked for a kids’ meal on a single plate, not to be split between our two kids, and guess what—they split it anyway and charged us extra. The waitress even argued with me saying my wife asked her to split it while my wife was in that restroom with our little one. So oddly deceptive. It’s beyond them not listening but clearly just trying to tack on the bill. And don’t even get me started on the attitude from some of the servers but especially one lady in particular. Rude, condescending, ungrateful—just not the vibe you want when you’re out trying to enjoy a meal. Oh, and good luck getting water or bread without waiting forever. It’s like basic service has gone completely out the window.

The thing is, every time we’ve gone back, we’ve tried to give them another chance. We’ve walked in hoping for better service because we really do want to keep supporting this place. But after three bad experiences in a row, it’s just not worth it anymore. We get that restaurants have tough days or staffing issues or whatever, but this is a bigger problem with how things are being run.

And trust me—we did communicate with the waitress and management. We were clear about what we wanted every time and even gave feedback politely while we were there. It’s not like we’re out here trying to be difficult customers. We just desire halfway decent service and not feel ripped off of taken advantage of.

Honestly, it stinks to write this because we used to love this place. The food is still great, but that only goes so far when the service makes you feel unwelcome or ripped off. Hopefully they figure it out but for now we're not going to waste our time and money here, as there are so many other places who do so much better...

1/5 Stars - Disappointing Birthday Celebration at Salmeris. And I had to put 1 star in order to write this, I did not want to even give that. I rarely write negative reviews, but our lunch experience at Salmeris today was so poor that I feel compelled to share this feedback. Our group of six was celebrating a friend’s birthday, and unfortunately, the service and food quality made what should have been a special occasion quite unpleasant. Service Issues: Our server Justin provided virtually no customer service - he functioned purely as an order taker with zero personality or hospitality. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, service was inexplicably slow. Drinks arrived with barely any ice, and he literally threw straws on the table without providing enough for everyone. The 15-minute wait just to place our order was unreasonable given how few customers were present. Food Quality: Every dish at our table looked unappetizing, but my pizza was particularly terrible - quite possibly the worst pizza I’ve ever been served. It arrived with no sauce (and wasn’t listed as a white pizza), was drowning in greasy, low-quality cheese, and was completely inedible. When I requested pizza sauce, both Justin and the manager seemed confused about what kind of sauce goes on pizza. The manager then delivered it while on her phone with her thumb inside the ramekin - completely unprofessional. Management and Cleanliness: The birthday dessert service was chaotic - they placed the cake on an adjacent empty table instead of ours, then served us dirty utensils covered in chocolate sauce. When Justin acknowledged the utensils were dirty, he served them to us anyway, explaining he “tried to put them on the plate but it didn’t work.” This is unacceptable from a food service perspective. Facility: Our table barely accommodated six people, and management showed no initiative to adjust seating arrangements despite having empty tables nearby. For a restaurant charging full prices, the complete lack of customer service, poor food quality, and unsanitary practices make Salmeris impossible to recommend. I hope ownership takes serious steps to address these...

Tonight we drove thirty minutes to try out Salmeri's. Once we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation which we did not because we had never been there. The hostess asked us if we would like to sit inside or outside. Having a three year old we decided it was best to sit outside to not disturb anyone. Having known we would be seated directly in the sun while everyone else was in the shade we would have declined. Our server that waited on us approached our table and said nothing absolutely nothing. Even after we stated we have never been there before so we decided to go ahead and put our daughters food in because she was hungry. We asked her if they have spaghetti and meatballs on the kids menu and she reassured us that even though it was not on the kids menu she could do it. She forgot to mention that it would be ten dollars for our three year old to eat. All of the kids menu items were around five to six dollars and if we would have known that it was five dollars extra to add meatballs we would of just ordered her something off the kids menu. Our sever stated that she put in our kids food before ours which we had asked but yet when our food arrive so did hers. Once our food arrived we heard another server reading off specials to the table beside us which sounded amazing. Why did we not get offered these specials? If so we would have ordered them because once again they sounded great. As I sit there and eat my hot pasta with the sun blazing down on me I started to think about dessert. If our server would have come by our table other than ONE time to ask how our food was I would have ordered it. We then had to go inside to ask for a Togo box and our check after waiting for so long. The food was the only star of our dinner tonight and the reason we came here was because we have heard such good reviews of this place only to be disappointed because we truly feel we were not given the...
