Went for my second visit this morning. Was terribly disappointed. My first time was excellent. Service was great. Food was above average. Really unique atmosphere. Well, the format has changed. They are simply a better-than-usually hotel restaurant. You don’t order, you eat whatever they put out. They serve you from the sterno pans. I walked in to a sign that said sit yourself. Ok...no small tables available. Meaning all the 4 tops were dirty. So I waited for about 10 mins. They finally started to clean one off so I sat down. The server cleaning the table never spoke to me. I then waited for another 15mins. No server, no one spoke. Nothing. I overheard one of the servers tell another patron that all they offered was the buffet. So I knew that was coming. I continued waiting as, even at a buffet, they typically take your drink order. (But not a hotel diner I guess). Someone finally asked me if I was waiting on brunch. I said no, I was waiting to eat breakfast but no one had spoken to me. She told me most people have a meal voucher (hotel guests). If not it’s $9.95. Water, coffee, milk and juice were at the table beside the food. You know, in the pump canisters. I’m sure the food probably tasted fine but I didn’t stay. Not what I went in there for. Sad that is what they’ve turned the...
Read moreWent here for breakfast… husband and I each got a side of toast… Usually anywhere you go a side of toast is two slices of bread. They brought us one slice each and charge two dollars each for it. Also, it came out with no butter on it. We asked for butter and they brought it to us, but it was a hard block and we couldn’t spread the butter. I don’t mind paying for something good, but two dollars for one slice of unbuttered bread is crazy. Also got a side of breakfast potatoes, you get a huge portion… And they were very good. Honestly, the only thing that we had that was good. The rest of the food was definitely something that we could’ve made it home for half the price. Very limited on beverages. Only water and orange juice were available. I was very surprised when I sat down a limited the menu was. There was like four things on there. Our server was pleasant enough.. It was just very mediocre food and very pricey. Maybe it’s better at lunch or dinner, but I’d definitely never return for what...
Read moreFirst time I went here it was a great place. I came back after a week away and wow it was not the same. They were supposed to be staying open until 9pm (per the new signs up) and 2 nights in the same week they were closed. 1 night at 5:30 and then tonight at 7:45. I was able to walk in as a patron was being let in by a member of thier party after a smoke break. I walked up to the bar and asked if they were closed? The guy said yes technically but I can get you a drink. I said I was looking for dinner as I was staying here at the hotel and was told, and read on the posted sign, that they were staying open until 9. He said oh no we close at 8. Doors were locked and OPEN sign was still on. Looks like I will stay at another hotel with a restaurant as this is a year long project and we need something close so our crew can stay in after work. Very...
