$14 for 3 tacos? They charged "extra" for lettuce, tomatoes, and pico and the menu which states 49 cents for Guacamole or Sour Cream (per taco) is a lie as they charged me almost as much for the guacamole than they did the ground beef tacos, when all we ordered was 3 ground beef w/ guacamole, 3 chicken, 2 steak, and 2 more grilled chicken tacos and a Mexicana, and 2 Horchata (rice drinks) and we got bent over backwards on this one (usually $30-35 based on prior orders, this time the total was over $55!!!)... Our office has ordered to-go from here for YEARS and as of lately they have been very slippery on their charges. This will be the last time we ever order from here. If there is one plus they do serve good food but this is unethical and I highly recommend you find another Mexican restaurant to eat, there are tons of good ones within a few miles of this establishment. Didnt bring enough cash to he had to split the bill between two receipts which was also kinda confusing, but upon reviewing you can see its not a duplicate order just broken down based on $44 cash and the remaining $11.75...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExcellent service! Food = Meh.
4 Stars for service. 2 Stars for taste of food.
Maybe it was just what I had ordered, Wet Steak Burrito, but it wasnt very good. The "salsa" that was on it looked/tasted like it came straight from a can and was pure salt water. (Not saucy like the 'Burritos Suizo' I'm used to. The steak itself was beyond salty, cut so small it might as well have been ground beef, and tasted as if it had been made earlier that day and reheated. Beans and rice were good however. Everything was salty (And I LOVE salty, but my god, I couldn't chug my glasses of water fast enough.) My friend had ordered a taco salad with chicken (which in my opinion was even worse than mine.) This is NOT authentic Mexican food, if it is, it's from a part of Mexico that no one has ever heard of. The guy working the counter was exceptionally friendly, just dont take his recommendations on food or you may end up disappointed like we were. I am more than likely going to return and try something different, as it is a local place and the service like I said, was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm Mexican and grew up eating what my mom knew how to cook which was 95% Mexican food. The food here is great!! Nothing worse than spending money on food that doesn't hit the spot! Try the sopes platter with shredded beef. I was so full and slept so good when I got home. The aguas frescas are legit. They had j amaica, tamarindo, and horchata when I went. We got all 3 and they were all amazing. My European-American husband wanted to go back and buy it by the gallon.
There is seating inside. Is the place super fancy? No. But after a lifetime of trying different Mexican restaurants in the SWFL area, it has proven true that the fancier a Mexican restaurant is, the WORSE the food is. People just don't know better if they didn't have a mom at home making frijoles and tortillas all the time.
The young man who took our orders was great! He brought our food to our table. My husband said the people in the kitchen were very gracious when he complimented everything.
Can't wait to come back!
