So sad. We are on a mission to find the best birria tacos in SWFL. These unfortunately to date are the worst ones yet. Where to start... we will start with the undercooked chips that you could literally bend in half. They are really oily and hard to chew (hence the fritos) we had to eat instead. The rice is microwaved and so overcooked it was like mashed potatoes. The refried beans were ok-ish. But, my daughter said she didn't like them because they tasted sweet. Now onto the main reason why we went, the birria tacos. We were standing on the side of the truck in the shade while we waited. I'm pretty sure the birria tacos are PREMADE! I never saw them on the flat top cooking 😳 They lacked flavor, were super fatty, not crispy, but soggy, just overall not good. The consume... (which is 75% of why we love birria tacos) was so bland and watery. It was such a disappointment. The only thing that was good was the guacamole that was actually made to order.

For reference the pic of the order with tin foil is what it the birria tacos normally come like. I've been eating here for about a year and this place is going down fast. I don't know if they switched owners or what but the last coyote months have been really hit or miss. I just got 2 orders of the birria tacos which I get regularly and this time was by far the worst. The consume was horrible tasted like straight saltwater. The tacos were half the size and tortilla wasn't soaked, grilled and super dry. Hardly any meat or cheese and the salsa verde was practically water not creamy like it normally is. It was almost inedible and it saddens me to write a review like this because i do eat here frequently. The last few times I've went I ordered online for pickup and each time the order wasn't even started after waiting 15 min to get there and another 15 min for a burrito.

The atmosphere in service is like not great but the food is fantastic. I like the birria tacos so much that I ordered it again to take with me and eat later. I wanted to try the quesadillas as well. There's lots of great reviews on them. But I did not. I was really full. The price is fair and they have an outside fridge with cold drinks. They only have tamarind or sandria jarritos. As well as water. They need to expand their drink collection but the food is freaking delicious. I got the tacos de birria with the consommé sauce on the side. Very unique cheese flavor on the tacos. It's hard to find this good type of Taco somewhere. Must don't cook it well. But the spot tacos in Bradenton and bonbon in Sarasota do.. I think the spot is the best and this one rivals bonbon. I'm planning to go back and try the quesadilla later this year.
