I was sorry hungry I started eating right away.... it was sooo good I couldn't stop. I had to stop and call Nardette, and tell her that this was The Best Grio plate I ever ate, I must say the fried plantains were perfect for me. They were crispy (not hard) just a bit of sweetness, they where opened to be cooked at the perfect time. I usually don't eat plantain on a to go plate because bu the time I make it home they are hard and cold, maybe from being a little to thick idk.
I'm American and I eat alot of creole/Haitian food. I enjoy eating from the other Creole/Haitian restaurants in town as well no complaints. But I'm so grateful to have been lead here tonight. I told her husband when I picked up my food that God lead me here, he asked if it was my first time there. I told him yes and he asked how did I hear about them? I told him I didn't know what I wanted to eat and this place popped up in my mind, I had driven by several times never stopped because I always just go to the other restaurants in familiar with, but I know the Lord lead me here, because I can never eat the plantains from the other places with take out unless I ate them on the way home while they were still hot, so that they would be easier to eat. I have kids things don't workout as planned always usually as a Mom when you eat your food is cold and need to warm. But because of the way it was prepared it didn't matter it was perfect. They have a new faithful customer.... Her husband was very courteous and professional over the phone, I loved the way they have the restaurant set up for protection in the pandemic. They are following the CDC guidelines they have fresh homemade jam, that I am looking forward to tasting..... As you can see I am very pleased wonderful food and good people. Great job to Nardette and her husband I pray that the Lord bless you graciously to be able to continue with the great service! 🙌🏾🙏🏾❤

Read moreYes.yes.yes. Where do I start? If you know Haitian food, this is the place to eat! If you are looking to try Haitian food, this is what you need to have in order to know the authentic Haitian food! I tried red beans and rice and black beans and rice... both are incredible. The flavor and texture is 100% on point. I have been looking for rice like this since leaving Haiti! Then you have the fried plantains and pikliz. Perfect balance of salt and crispy plantain flavor with pikliz that is hands down the best in town. You can tell the chef's passion is in each bite. The fried goat is tender yet crispy. The sauce for stewed goat is so flavorful. Skip the other restaurants that come up in your searches. This place is it. It is also super important to mention the incredible smile and kindness you are met with at the door! Going back...
Read moreI had a taste for some Haitian food and happened to come across this place. It had raving reviews so i decided to try it out. As soon as they opened the door and I smelled the aroma I knew I came to the right place. They were incredibly sweet, funny and family oriented. She asked me to taste a piece of my griot before I left, it was so fresh and delicious it hurt my feelings to close my tray so I could leave😭😅 the plantains had the perfect light and crispy crunch..the rice was so moist and flavorful i'm ashamed to say I ate it straight out the plate face first lmaooo. I eventually found my utensils BUT it was so good I honestly...
