Labadie Bar Restaurant and Bakery — Restaurant in Fort Myers

I went to this establishment yesterday and thought the experience would have been better considering they're rated 4.4 stars. From the beginning my group understood the wait would be about thirty minutes, we were ok with that. We should have left once we learned a young lady had been waiting for roughly three hours, that includes her leaving and returning, only to learn they were out of rice and so the order she placed hours ago couldn't be fulfilled. For us thirty minutes turned into almost an hour and a half, which of course we weren't ok with. Then the order wasn't written down properly and we were short one meal. Instead of having good customer service and apologizing, the waitress went back and forth putting the blame on us. Long story short we decided to not wait an additional time frame, and went home a meal short. Upon eating the food I can honestly say the black rice was the best part. If you are looking for good customer service, you won't find it here. If your time is valuable, then stop elsewhere, if you want food to remember, you'll have to travel for it, because it isn't here. I am a natural born US citizen. I spent 5 years in Miami and learned to love all the different kinds of food there. I will try anything once... even if it's scorpions covered in chocolate! Although I really hate scorpions covered in chocolate; Grasshoppers are much better.🤪This restaurant is the epitome of great Haitian Creole food! I've never had a bad dinner here! Sometimes doordash screws it up. Call the restaurant first. If they run out of their stewed goat or oxtails early...which by the way is phenomenal... doordash takes it off the menu because it's not available every hour of every day. I just came from this place to order some food. The food was nasty. It was uncooked disgusting I will never return to this place again to purchase food from them. I can understand that you open up a restaurant. You have to make sure that you hire people that’s gonna cook the food the right way so people can actually come in and purchase the food and be happy about what they ate. I never had nasty food in my life before, that’s why I tried places once I found out is nasty it taste like nasty and disgusting.
