Island Burger and Shake — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Food is pretty decent but this place is extremely overpriced. Picture below is $47 for a “bucket” of fries ($14) and 2 non wagyu burgers just so you know what you’re getting. Service is very poor and slow.

Update/Owner's Response: Owner recommends McDonald's. Please scroll down to better understand how this business owner treats customers and lacks basic reading comprehension and understanding of technology where it can be easily shown that we waited over 20 minutes before order was started. I was charged $47.04 for this meal, but who’s counting. Placed online order at 11:24 on their app. My boyfriend walked inside at 11:45 (21 mins later) to the cook alone in the restaurant who said they had not started on the order because they could not see it yet. Simply walked back in a few minutes later and kindly asked for a refund because we had elsewhere to be. Serving staff had no idea how to give a refund nor how to use their app that they advertise everywhere.

And not that McDonalds has anything to do with this original review/conversation but a double quarter pounder is $6.99. But once again,...

My family and I went here when they first opened and we were instantly hooked! The service was unbelievably fast, the food was all piping hot and delicious! It’s a small menu that they have absolutely perfected. We went back a second time today and tried the daily special and were yet again blown away! Our server Samantha was bubbly, cheerful and gave us amazing service! As a two time visitor I can honestly say that this place has the absolute best burgers I have ever had!! No matter which burger you try, they are all bursting with flavor and made to perfection! The fries are also unique with great seasoning to perfectly pair with any of their amazing burgers options. This place is a diamond in the rough and a unique food find for those with exceptional tastes! We will be back time and time again, try it once and you’ll be hooked...

We visit this burger place whenever we're down at the beach. It's a great location and has lots of potential. The burgers are good, but the servers are hit or miss. We went yesterday and I felt like we had to whisper because it was so quiet in there. Just some advice, maybe have some music going or something. The server took our order, but seemed like she didn't want to be there. Wasn't friendly or welcoming. Dropped off the check before we were even done eating and didn't even bother asking if we needed anything else. Normally I would have just paid and left, but I promised my kids I would get them a shake so I am had to have her add it on.
