Excellent diner - would highly recommend if you’re looking for a classic breakfast from a hometown spot with caring people that give you attentive service and delicious food.
(For fellow foodies: This review is coming from my husband and I that just got back from a Scandinavian vacation for 2 weeks eating all kinds of high end quality food, including Michelin restaurants and travel frequently).
Both of us are originally born and raised here in Fort Pierce and live here now full-time and just have overlooked this as a breakfast spot somehow. Are two go to spots were closed today so I mentioned to come here knowing some family/friends like it.
I had the Rick’s special - 2 eggs cooked perfectly (not greasy like some diners can be), nice serving of home fries, 4 slices of bacon (perfectly cooked and actually still hot when the plate came out), a side of 3 pancakes.
My husband had an omelette and biscuit with a side cup of gravy. I have to say for gravy it was some of the best I’ve had in a long time.
We both got a cup of coffee and it was perfectly strong. I drank it black because it was good but they do have half and half.
The restaurant felt clean, bathrooms were clean, the service was great from the younger gentlemen at the cashier/hostess stand to our server.
We didn’t take photos of our food today but if you’re looking for a quality hometown local diner spot for a yummy breakfast, I think you should stop in. 😊
Please bring cash with you. You can only tip in cash. Also, note they charge 3.5% on credit cards (to cover transaction fees) which is minimal and not an issue in my mind at all for the convenience.
With all that being said, prices were very reasonable and they even have a sign talking about how they have absorbed the egg price increase so their customers don’t have to.
It’s going to be in our regular rotation from now on. Thank you Mickey’s and staff!!!!!

Read moreIf you look at my reviews I very rarely put anything negative.I wanted to support a local business and I saw this diner had great reviews. My husband and I went for breakfast. It was busy so I understood the wait. Breakfast is usually pretty quick at diners but it took us over 30 minutes to get served. We finished our cup of coffee and waited to see if we could get another one before our breakfast is served. When we finally received our food, it was awful. The home fried potatoes tasted like soap. I even try to put ketchup to see if I could disguise the taste but there's no way it was edible. Usually waitresses will go and check on guests to see if everything was ok but once she brought us the 2nd coffee she never came back. Anyway my husband said his sausage did not taste like pork sausage. There was no advertisement that it was turkey sausage but he said that's what it tasted like. It was too mushy. We definitely won't be going back. I hate to do this to a local business but we were so disappointed. I even told the cashier what we felt and she just said oh that's a shame. $40 including tip two egg breakfast coffee and juice. Definitely...
Read moreI went there today to place a to go order. Because when you try to call the phone, they're so busy nobody answers it. I figure I'll go inside to order. I was greeted kindly by the young girl at the register. I told her i'd like to place a to go order, she said. Okay, just let me know when you're ready, I will get a waitress for you. I said thank you. After looking at the menu for about 2 minutes, I was ready. I let the hostess know and she said she would tell the waitress. I said, thank you". She came back and said, "the waitress is getting their drinks and she'll be right with you ". I said, "okay thank you". I'm waiting patiently, and 10min passes by. I'm watching people come in and out and hearing the hostess tell them that it will be about a 10min wait or so. The hostess comes back to me and says, "the waitress said it will be about an hour wait, will that be ok"? I said, "No, it's ridiculous" and I walked out. Unfortunately this, isn't the 1st time I've been treated in this manner. I will no longer recommend this place and speak the truth behind...
