Service is very inconsistent, there has been a few times I've taken my family and everything went well. Then there were other times when it was completely TERRIBLE. One time they served my pregnant wife spoiled and burnt eggrolls and we let them know, when they came back back with "fresh" eggroll she took a bite the and they were still burnt and spoiled.
Waters had a taste of bleach/soap in them so we asked for styrofoam cups and they acted like we asked them to do something wrong.
They gave me the incorrect sized bowl twice. The first time they gave me a large bowl after I told them. The next time they said that it was a large bowl when it was actually a small bowl. People in room next to kitchen had large bowls when I went to restroom.
On another occasion. I ordered a large soup from them before and they gave me a small.
One time the manager asked what drinks we wanted and then didn't even bring them to us because he was too busy on his phone.
Just loss a customer, only because pho soup is so easy to make. Just go to the asian market on Midland and YouTube how to make it.
I'm sure the original owners would be very disappointed.
(First time ever doing a review on Google but the manager didn't even care to fix anything just said sorry and gave an excuse)
I would really appreciate if the owner does not reply to this review unless a free meal is offered because nothing was done when issues were discussed at time of service. Just giving an honest and respectful review. Get to together Pho HoagueThank you...
Read moreWe ordered Boba and pho. Boba came out bland so I ordered another flavor. The second one tasted like medicine so I ordered a third one. By the time our pho bowls came out and before I could have a bite of my pho they were more concerned about collecting the money for the 3 Boba drinks than satisfying having repeat customers. I never said I wasn't going to pay, but to have the audacity to assume because I ordered 3 Boba flavors that I wasn't going to pay for what I ordered...they should be ashamed on serving poor tasting quality food...needless to say because of the service we all walked out and won't be back. I've had pho and Boba at many different locations around the country and this location by far doesn't even come close with food quality or service and their attitude with customers really shows that they don't care. Nor do they want any feedback from customers. If they think their pho is the best tasting Boba and pho than everywhere else, then everywhere else wouldn't succeed with this type of food. To patrons who will or continue to give your business to this restaurant... just make sure you eat what you order or you might hurt...
Read morePho Hoang offers a great mix of comfort, flavor, and value. The space is clean, welcoming, and casual—ideal for a relaxed lunch or dinner. Service was friendly and patient, even when the restaurant was busy. The menu is extensive, which can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but the staff are more than willing to walk you through it and make thoughtful recommendations.
I went with the pork banh mi, and it definitely stood out—crisp bread, flavorful pork, and fresh toppings. The portion was generous and well-balanced, making it one of the better banh mi I’ve had locally. I also tried the taro boba tea, which had a smooth texture and just the right level of sweetness. It paired perfectly with the meal and was a highlight on its own.
While the focus is clearly on pho and Vietnamese comfort dishes, the variety on the menu means there’s something for just about anyone. Pricing is fair for the portions you get, and the attention to freshness is obvious. Whether you’re new to pho or a regular, this place makes it easy to enjoy a good, filling meal...
