When you travel to as many cities as I do seeking delicious tacos and you find one in your backyard you keep it a secret for a little while. Secret is out. COMAL_at_FortThomas just hits the spot. I always get the Tres Marias w/ a bottle of coke. Sometimes accompanied with chorizo queso + chips. Get the madre salsa if you love the spicy tingle on your lips šŸ’‹ chefs kiss x 100000. A+ on the food, atmosphere, + amazing family that runs the joint. Communities need more places like this!

Man! I appreciate the fact that they do have blue corn tortillas! This enhance the flavor of the meal. They have a very interesting menu. I wonā€™t share a photo because you have to stop by and try them. The veggie menu has also a good proposal. This place has a much better proposal -no rice and beans included- which makes it very good. The staff and service is kind and friendly Hint: Ask for the ā€œmas cabronaā€ salsaā€¦ careful is mind blowing.

Their Branzino taco is the best I've ever had. The fish is perfectly cooked and flaky, the skin on the outside is crisped to perfection, the vegetable balance is perfect and the crunch complements the fish without peer. This is the best special they have, and if you see this being offered - get it.

The jaguar nachos are really good, order them for a group or for yourself, they've got it down.

Get anything with the barbacoa in it, they do an outstanding job!

Their service is fast and consistently amazing, and the folks down there are always friendly.

It's right by Fort Thomas Coffee, which is lauded for their incredible coffee selection. Hello Honey ice cream parlor is a natural choice for an excellent dessert. ADC Fine Art gallery is two doors down, and they have an amazing space to take in some fine art after your meal.

I'm happy that Comal is out in Fort Thomas delivering the best...

Stopped in for a light dinner on Wednesday evening. My wife and I took a few minutes to decide as there were many great sounding options. We ordered chips and salsa and queso along with steak tacos. The food is made to order and came out quickly. The chips were crisp and lightly salted and paired well with the salsa and queso. The tacos arrived shortly after. The steak was tender and seasoned perfectly. The tortilla was fresh and held together very well. There is a counter full of hot sauces with varying flavors and heat. A Modelo capped off a great experience. Reasonably priced with everything coming out...

1/25/2025 First time here. Wonderful experience. The food was incredible. We had 2 special items for the week..the chicken tortilla soup and Alambre tacos. Food was fresh and extremely flavorful. The taco tortilla was lightly fried and was crispy, not gummy like most. We had the Elote(corn off the cob) topped with a lime Crema maybe that was the best I have ever had. Margarita was delicious and a large glass was only $9.00. The place looks small from the outside but dining room is open and pretty large. This will be on our rotation list of places to eat at least every two weeks!...
