First time visit to Bangkok Bistro on State. I got an order of Thai egg rolls and drunken noodles with pork and a heat of medium. The egg rolls were really good. I like to the Korean barbecue sauce a little more than the sweet and sour. The spicy mayo and the little ladle next to the egg rolls is a sauce they were just messing with. Pretty good flavor as well. The drunken noodles came out a couple minutes later. But good mix of noodle vegetable and pork and made for a very good looking dish. It was exactly what I was looking for today, except I should have ordered one heat level down since my idea of medium and their idea of medium is a little different. You think by now, you'd think I would learn the lesson on ordering too hot. You can always add more, but you can't take it away. Inside, the building looks nothing like your previous business nice tables, clean decorations, plenty of workers to take care of everyone. I've got to get back there soon for a few other dishes let me know when you're ready to join me. #onforkstoforks

Second time at Bangkok Bistro, and I will surely be here many more times as this is our new favorite Thai place in Fort Wayne. Our waitress used to work at Baan Thai and she instantly recognized my parents (visiting from out of town) as the people "with the camper" :) who went to Baan Thai frequently during their trips here over the years. This time I had the Chili & Ginger Stir Fry with beef. I took a risk and ordered it medium spicy; the last time I had medium curry it was pretty hot, so I wasn't sure how hot a chili dish would be. It turned out that it wasn't hot at all, so perhaps my request didn't make it to the chef. But that's fine, as I was able to enjoy the flavors of the dish without sweating! :) I can't say I tasted a lot of ginger or chili spices, but the dish had a delicious flavor anyway. Good quality beef and plenty of it, as well as fresh green beans which still had a good snap to them.

A hidden gem of a restaurant right off of East State Blvd in the former "The Bagel Station" location. The very large and tempting menu makes selection rather difficult as everything looked good, so I decided to choose off of the lunch menu. I had the Walll Street Holy Basil Stir-Fry with chicken, which was very flavorful. We also ordered two "starters", the Fried Gyoza and the Thai Egg Rolls, which were very reasonably priced. I can easily say that the Fried Gyoza was hands down the best appetizer that I've ever had. The Thai Eggs Rolls were awesome too. Everyone in my party was very pleased with their dishes too. The waiter couldn't have done a better job. Friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the menu. We will be back for sure.

If you are in the mood for consistent tasting, authentic Thai food, this is not it. We have been here a couple times and we always order Pad Thai. We brought my whole family in tonight for my daughter's birthday. The dishes were all brought out one by one, 5-10 min apart. We did not recieve our drinks until almost everyone had food. The last three dishes were brought to us 20 minutes after the first dish came out. We always get the pad thai. I've had pad thai from here multiple times and it is normally pretty good, not as good as Yummy Thai, but good. Tonight the pad thai was different. Awful in fact. The smell our food had was comparable to a dirty barn. Rancid smell. It tasted bland and like it had weird dirty water sauce on it. Not pad thai sauce. They took all three of our dishes back to the kitchen, not offering anything else or an even an apology. Our waiter came back and we ordered a soup and the spring rolls instead, that took another 20 minutes of us sitting around waiting. I asked the server lady or manager, (idk which) if she smelled it and thought it smelled bad, because I didn't want her to just tell the kitchen to make me the same thing again if the chef tonight is thinking that nasty unedible pad thai was good. She said she smelled it and it smells and looks the same and they didn't change anything. Anyways very disappointed, my daughter never got pad thai for her birthday, my mom got to eat a little but of soup after everyone else was done eating, and I didnt eat anything since my faith in the consistency of the authentic pad thai recipe that night was gone. Just going to keep going to Yummy Thai. Yummy Thai has perfect food, every single time but the trade up for the nicer atmosphere of Bangkok Bistro is not worth it. Also the automatically calculated 18% gratuity for tables of 5 and over is not right. We usually tip 20% anyway, but not sure if we would have done even 18% today due to everything, but that was decided for us anyway. Kind of strange, even if you wanted to tip more or leave a nice Christmas tip, your server just lucks out. Very...

The first time I went there wasn’t a pleasant experience, waited for almost an hour for our orders to arrive and there’s one particular server who is so unprofessional, rude and unkind. She has a short hair maybe just right on her cheek level; when we followed up on our order, she would reply “it’s not cook yet.” My friend and I said to ourselves that we wont be coming back no more but since I like their calamari, I gave them a second chance, we went again and the worse is yet to happen. The same server helped us out and for over than an hour, our food wasn’t served yet; we followed up with our orders and that same lady rudely replied, “your food will be here once it’s ready.” Her next excuse was the wifi messed up our orders and it didn’t go through the system. What a coincidence that out of all the tables during that time, the wifi decided not to work during the time we made our orders. She did not even apologize for letting us wait for over an hour and guess what, we were still eating but she handed our bills faster than the speed...

I ordered the chicken teriyaki stir fry with carrots and broccoli. When the dish arrived there were exactly 2 very thin slices of carrot and approximately 5 pieces of tiny broccoli florets and the rest chicken. The chicken was very good. I asked for more vegetables since there were hardly any in the dish and the menu had stated this was a stir fry with the vegetables listed. The ones I had to ask for had thicker slices of carrot and actual broccoli florets and looked like actual vegetables. However, the restaurant wanted to charge me for them. I told them that since there were barely any vegetables in the dish they served I should not have to pay extra for them. The person I spoke with asked if there were vegetables in the dish and I said yes, barely any to which he replied that's the way the dish is served. I replied that obviously I would not be ordering it again. The extra charge was then dropped. I was astounded at what I felt they were trying to get away with and will not be going back. I really wish I had...
