I’m still looking for a California style super nacho. Nobody around here seems to care about the quality or flavor of their chips. They were edible, but I doubt I’ll return due to how stingy the portion size was. I’m still hungry and supper nachos should be one of those options that leave you feeling sick you’ve eaten so much. All without breaking the bank. Even premium chips are cheap, and these weren’t premium.
I don’t know why Indiana seems to have such a problem with real cheese. But there was no cheddar or queso fresco on these chips. Either would have made me happy. I got something white and that tasted velveeta level processed.
Their peppers were good, but I was punished with ends for asking for more. Literally the whole cup was ends, that couldn’t be accidental.
Pico de Gallo was good.
Meat was bland and seemed (like everyone else’s in town) cooked too fast. At least it wasn’t over salted like everyone else’s.
I don’t think their guacamole had any avocado in it.
The beans were good, but more whole beans than the refried I’d expect on super nachos.
Including soda is a nice touch, but not a Mexican soda in sight. No fountain drinks. I didn’t ask for, or see horchata or any agua frescas.
If the plate had filled me to the brim, I’d be satisfied. If the plate had wowed me with flavor and quality, I’d have been satisfied. If it had done both, I’d eat here no less than once a week (funds allowing).
I sincerely appreciate the courtesy of service (save for the pettiness of the peppers). Even more I adore how neither the people working nor the environment showed even a hint of being pretentious. Truly adored that.
I’m trying to find a Mexican restaurant that is better than I can do at home. I will...
Read moreI had passed this place a thousand times and never knew it was here until a friend recommended I try it. I gave it a go for the first time today and was not disappointed. I was in the mood for something a little lighter so I tried their vegetarian quesadilla. It was near closing so I ordered it to go, when I got to my car and unwrapped my quesadilla I was pleasantly greeted by the most stuffed quesadilla I have ever devoured.
This quesadilla was more like a grilled stuffed burrito, it was filled to the bursting point with rice, beans, lettuce, tomato guacamole, sour cream, and cheese. As soon as I started eating it I couldn't stop till it was done. Then I was again happy to see their mild sauce was a Verde salsa that was perfectly blended, the chips were crispy and were full unbroken pieces of fried tortilla heaven.
In conclusion, I will definitely be returning to try out the rest of their menu. The 'super platter' is incredibly mouthwatering and I can't...
Read moreI think this is my new go-to for lunch takeout.
I got some chorizo tacos to go. The service was friendly, the tacos were ready quickly, and the price was right.
The tacos were delicious. Simple meat, onion, cilantro affairs wrapped in good corn tortillas. The chorizo was the right degree of crispy, the proportion of onion and cilantro was spot on.
I did not know until I opened my bag, but they included some homemade tortilla chips as well that were sooooooo good. I imagine the nachos have to be something special if they are served on those puppies.
I got to the end of the last taco, and I was just really happy with my choice.
Updating: I've had four kinds of Taco now. Today was the steak, and they are also amazing. I stopped myself in time to...
