Pizza King — Restaurant in Fort Wayne

I have loved Pizza King since I was a kid and I’m now 51. However, I can’t help but give a bad review for the one on Illinois Road. The manager Brooke is possibly the most unprofessional person I have ever met and I will never return to that location. Showed up to get my pizza and they accidentally gave my pizza to someone else. This person took it out to their vehicle and apparently looked it over and brought it back in because it wasn’t what they ordered. Brooke tried a nice slight of hand by taking that pizza putting it back on the rack and then giving that person the correct pizza. She then turns around and takes my pizza off the rack and says here you go. I said I wasn’t comfortable being given a pizza that someone else had out in their car. She was very rude and said they didn’t touch it. I asked how would she know that since we were both inside. She rolled her eyes and acted like I was being unreasonable to not accept the pizza. I told her it would be one thing if she looked at it right in front of us but not when it literally left the building. She got rude again and said well if that is how you are going to be just wait I will make you a new one. I told her no just give me my money back that I didn’t want anything from this location again. I will be filing a complaint with the health department because this was unacceptable. Only have done take out. Several times. Pizza has been amazing every time. We have had no issues and are so thrilled we have a location so close to home now. Would rarlely go to Pizza king in the past because too far from home for take out. Love the royal feast pizza.

The pizza is more expensive than some of the national chains, true. I feel it is worth the extra cost. So much better tasting and way more toppings than the others. One large royal feast has the same amount of topping as three or four discount pizzas and better quality and flavor.

If you are a cheese only pizza person then maybe not for you. Maybe the chains are better for the savings if you order just bread and cheese. But if you love lots of toppings pizza king is so much better.

Worst service ever. I have been here at least 5 times since it opened hoping they would work out the kinks. Nope. Why do they never use both registers when they are busy? Why are there always several people behind the counter standing around doing nothing? Why are the pick up times waaaaaaay off. Each order has been at least 25 minutes behind schedule. The pickup process is also a disaster. If they called out your name before you got there you have no idea that your pizza is actually ready and still have to wait in line to tell them you are there.The only reason I did not give them 1 star is because the pizza is usually good. but the last two pizzas we bought had huge bubbles all over them and we're missing about a third of the toppings. I hope things improve at this place. I hope things improve...
