Been to Uniq about 5 times and it has been a great experience every time. Despite it being busy, the wait staff will always do their best to get to you as soon as possible so some patience is required when coming in, but trust me, it is worth it. We always get the all you can eat hot pot option and are never left full.
I have tired most of the broths and here is a list to help those choosing since you don't get to sample.
Mushroom - honestly my favorite, has a beefy flavoring to it which really complements pork, lamb, beef, and vegetables. Chicken wasn't as good in this option imo.
Kimchi - mild spice level, has a distinct kimchi taste to it (kind of like kimchi jigae if you have ever had that korean dish). Goes well with all the meats, chicken does really well in this, tofu and noodles do great in this.
Tomato - has a vegetable soup flavoring to it. Good with all meats and vegetables, solid choice.
Miso - it tastes just like miso, I found it to be a little bland. So I added salt and pepper to taste and it made it exceptionally better. Enjoyed all the meats in it except for lamb and vegetables. Ended up utilizing ramen noodles with beef majority of the time to make myself a sort of Miso Ramen soup.
If I was going to rank these 4 options I definitely would go 1. Mushroom 2. Tomato 3. Kimchi 4. Miso, and that isn't to say that the 3-4 options are bad, all of them were amazing, but I fell in love with the beefy flavor of the mushroom soup base. Definitely go in and try it out, the staff are friendly, food is amazing, and it's a great experience. Especially with friends or family where you can spend time talking while waiting for the food to cook, it's a great...
Read moreI give a 1star because there is no option for 0. The all-you-can-eat is a joke. This is the first time that I walked out a all you can eat restaurant not full. They brought food out extremely slow and in ridiculously small portions. when you reorder, one plate of mushrooms is only one bite, one plate beef had 4 pieces thin shaved meat in it, and One plate of squid have four pieces in it. After I been waiting and waiting, then the waitress brought out food for one bite. After have to ask So many times for food, I was sooo embarrassed to ask anymore. The fire heated the hot pot went off, and I was not full, but I got up and left. Yes, they said you can order as much as you want, but they also have a 2hours limit too. They said they bring food out in small portions to reduce waste, but I told them I need bigger portions because I am a big eater, they just totally ignored it my request. We went there in weekday evening, there were about 4 tables in the restaurant, so there was no excuse for too busy to serve. All I want to say is if the restaurant owner don’t think $30 a person is enough for all you can eat, then charge more! Do not make your customers feel so embarrassed to ask...
