Generally come here and have an alright experience regarding the service. But today it was so bad I felt the need to leave a review. Upon our arrival I asked our server, whose name is Cameron because I asked for it, I asked for the house red wine that was on special. He stated there is no wine on special, even though I saw it in multiple places that the Sunday special was house wine for $3. He said the only house wine they offer is “Oliver” which isn’t red. I wasn’t going to argue and settled for water instead. We ordered our meals and about 15 minutes later he came back to say my spouses dish could not be made without onions. He failed to supply my spouse with a menu to order something else, my spouse settled for something easy because he didn’t want to hold up the server, he instead ordered pizza. We received our small house salad which did not come with croutons, when I asked Cameron he said he forgot to put them on, and brought us a side. A little bit later he brought my dinner out and said he would be right out with my spouses pizza, he went to two 4 top tables to take orders before finally getting my spouses pizza, while I was waiting my meal became cold, perhaps cold because it had been sitting for a while in the kitchen too. I asked him to microwave it for me, and asked for more bread, and crushed pepper for the pizza. He took another tables order. Then finally came back with my microwaved food. I reminded him of the bread and pepper flakes, but by this point my spouse said never mind, because he only had one slice of pizza left. We won’t be...
Read moreTonight 8/12/22 was my husband and I date night 💞 Also our first time ever trying this restaurant.
Upon arrival we were seated immediately. Our waitress was nice and helpful with answering our questions.
Unfortunately the restaurant was not very clean we quickly noticed.. starting with the silverware having crusted food on the fork🤢 We ordered our meals, a house salad and a 1/2 order of cheese bread. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with an add on of shrimp. The Alfredo honestly tasted like flour mixed with cream. Like a thick paste with no flavor. The shrimp was over cooked and seemed to be poor quality.. also no flavor. They were also very small and the price was $8.00 for 6 tiny shrimp. 🤦🏻♀️ Our salad was soggy and not edible.
Another disappointment was the over priced soggy sandwich bread with butter and a sprinkle of cheese melted on top. It was a 1/2 order and was 2 prices of bread that seemed like it could have been store bought from the bread isle.
The tiramisu was ok and so was the turtle cheesecake. They were both pretty small portions for the price as well.
We constantly had to swat away Gnats and Flies from our food.. which was annoying and also made us wonder why there were so many 🤔 we were right by the kitchen.. not sure what was spoiled in there but we kept smelling a over ripe/ rotting produce smell. Which made us not able to finish dinner and ask for to go boxes and the check.. Date night was not a pleasant experience here at Casa.. unfortunately $80.00 wasted & We won't ever be back. We will stick with...
Read moreCasa's has always been one of my favorite restaurants, but not this time. We took my mother there for her birthday on a sunday afternoon. To start, the server was not very good. She couldn't even count the correct amount of waters to bring to the table. Every time you forget something is time away from the table. At the time we sat down, she did not have any other tables, so the attention to our table should have been better. While placing our order, I asked about a half order (for my mother who is 75) or if she could order the children's portion. She automatically cut me off and said no instead of seeing what would be possible. I am going to put this back on Casa as, there should be options for seniors, especially over 70 as they don't eat a lot and leftovers of certain food are not good at all. I fixed the problem and split her meal. I only ordered a small salad and two meatballs. Very simple order and it was terrible. The meatballs were not hot, should have been put through the oven to make hot. The salad was the worst I have ever had from Casa's. I am assuming that it was old. The famous bread was stale and the butter was frozen. Hard to spread frozen butter. Our sever could not pay attention to the table and we sat way too long waiting on our checks. I usually go to Casa's on Dupont and have never been disappointed. Will probably not be back to the...
