The coffee here is good, but nothing to get very excited about. I sat down only moments after getting mine and it was already somewhat cold. The flavor was bland, too. I'm giving the place 4 stars, though, because I'm really hoping it works out, we really need a decent coffee place in the area. I also had a muffin, and I didn't love it. The two separate rooms are a puzzle as well. The main room is a cold, stark place with metal tables and chairs; and nothing on the walls or floors to absorb sound. It reminds me of a school dining hall, everything echos through the room. The other room is decorated like a college professor's office, complete with a large mural of the globe, and Persian carpets. There were three other laptop workers settling in; that's a good sign. But 4 customers is pretty slow. There's a wide open field in the back that looks like there might be some sort of plan for a garden, which is interesting. I'm just not sure about this place. I plan to come back again when some of the kinks are worked out. Great parking, and I did see some outlet plugs. I think this would be a good spot for meetings. I'll go back again soon, and...

I won’t be going back. I’ve gone here over the years as a place to work for a little bit when I wanted to get out of the house. The back section used to be good for this. Lately, it seems every time there is someone having a meeting or group function, which is fine, but inevitably there are kids who are left to run around making tons of noise. I can handle some but it’s gotten ridiculous. When I can hear them over my noise canceling headphones, you need to pay more attention to your kids. I’m not going to complain to the staff or to the parents. They both know it’s happening and could stop it if they wanted.

If you are going for the coffee, or their cinnamon donuts, go for it. The staff seem really nice. I haven’t met a bad person there. Other coffee shops just don’t seem to have the noise/unwatched kids problem. I don’t go often but to have it happen every time tells me I don’t want to go often. This bad review is solely due to the...

EDIT -2024. I decided to try this place again and had a much better experience. The barista was professional yet personable. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice. I just wish their coffe was stronger and rhey pressed their own espresso pucks. Updating review from 1 to a solid 3.

Original review below. "This would be my designated local coffee joint and I would rate it higher stars easily if it wasn't for the last few visits. There are 1 or 2 employees that seem to believe it's okay to sit down with their friends when it's slow... Honestly I wouldn't mind that, but they end up becoming incredibly loud and obnoxious! I saw two people come in with their laptops, sit down and start to study or write and left shortly after. I wouldn't be surprised if it was because of the loud friends of the employees. This is not a good look and it's doing a disservice to a nice...

Axiom is this amazing gem tucked away amidst the city. Locally owned and operated by a staff that has passion and poise. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. I was able to easily order an off menu item (a secret trick to test the abilities of staff when I try a new coffee house). From the house made doughnuts to their perfectly made sandwich ( Turkey and Avocado) this coffee house blends cozy and modern seamlessly. They sport plenty of chairs that beckon you to snuggle in for a good read or to catch up with an old friend. The views out the north windows are a great way to escape the city traffic as well. Add in the fire pit and this is truly a unique place. You owe it to yourself to visit and you deserve a cup of happiness.

I have driven past this location a few times and thought I would finally step in to try it out. The parking lot was empty, never a good sign. Inside was massive, interesting sitting area to the back of the main restaurant. We stood around and waited a few moments. No employee to be found. Maybe they were in the restroom. We waited a bit longer.... still no employee. We decided to leave because it was awkward. As we left we saw the sign saying CLOSED on sundays. Clearly someone forgot to lock the front door before leaving yesterday! Wow; never experienced that before. We tried to find a phone number or email so we could alert someone. No luck!
