Golden Chick — Restaurant in Fort Worth

I have never eaten at Golden Chick ever! I am 7 months pregnant and I was absolutely starving.. Sonic was packed and next door was Golden Chick! First of all, I had no idea how pricey that place is, and considering I am a single mother of 2,$10- $12.00 for a combo meal just isn't worth it. I ordered a single side of mashed potatoes and a single side of macaroni and cheese. I also order a $2 roll (lol). The lady that took the order asked if I needed anything else at all, and I replied, "Yes, in fact I need a honey packet and a butter for my roll and plastic silverware and extra napkins please!!" She acted pretty annoyed and told me to pull forward to second window The man working this window was SUPERB! (Not sure his name but he had beautiful green eyes and a dark complexion) He was incredibly helpful. He made sure when he couldn't hear me if I asked for a cup of ice or a cup of ice water, to play it safe and double check. He then proceeded to hand me a HUGE styrofoam cup of ice water which I believed to be awesomeness considering most places nowadays charge you for ice water and they'll give you the smallest cup they have available!

He took payment and handed me my bag of food and I drove ahead to try and check my bag But then the car behind me started honking out if no where so I just left.

When I got back on the highway and started to check my bag not ONLY was I missing my macaroni and cheese I had a single serving of mashed potatoes that were cold they weren't even warm and for the size of the container the size of the scoop of mashed potatoes was half that container with barely any gravy. And last but not least there was only two napkins and there was no honey packet and no butter. I never leave long reviews like this but it was kind of ridiculous and I'm pregnant so I'm grumpy LOL but I'm just disappointed that my first experience...

First of all, it was not very busy but it still took 1/2 an hour to get my order. Drive home (5 minutes away), open up the packaging, and then taste it. The chicken tenders were actually good albeit a couple of them were about 1/3 the size of the other 14. At this pricing, that is not cool. If I pay for tenders, all of them should be a normal size. Next, they just stuff the rolls in the box with the chicken (there was not room so all the rolls were crushed down to about 1/3 the size they should have been). Next, the french fries. I am 62 years old and I have never had worse fries than they served me. They were still pretty warm when I got home but they were hard and chewy. My guess is, they probably tried re-heating them before boxing them up with my dinner, but you would think that after waiting almost 1/2 an hour, they could make fresh fries. Next was the coleslaw. Very little flavor. Tasted watered down. The gravy was probably below average but still edible. So basically, the chicken tenders were pretty good although a couple of very small ones and the gravy was edible. Everything else was terrible. This was my first visit to Golden Chick, not a very...

My husband and I placed an (order drive thru) they advised that it will be 10 minutes on chicken pull up... We did and 20 minutes later someone comes to the car and tell us that they gave our 10 pcs dark to another vehicle so we have to wait another 10-15 minutes. So we said well give us a refund and we'll wait. The guy says that he's the manager and all he can do is give us our money back... That was it we wasted 45 minutes waiting on chicken we never got only to get our money back. The manager looked like a high school kid and all he can do is laugh about the situation. This was totally unacceptable customer service and you guys need to train on that especially if it's a place full of young kids. I'm here at least 3 times a week cause my kids love the chicken but I'll go to the new chicken Express which is closer to my house and get better service because it is...
