Birrieria Los Chivos de Oro — Restaurant in Fort Worth

The food was pretty good for the most part. The fajita meat had good flavor, I thought my husbands birria meat was dry and half of our tortillas were burnt. Our Augas Frecas were really good. And I think good value for the size. Queso Hatch was really good but it’s about $8 and was probably about 3oz(very small) of queso, in a dish so long and shallow you had to scrape it, it wasn’t really dippable. An Service was a little slow but it was the weekend so I understand.

Their food and drink prices are different on their website vs printed menus vs on the actual receipt.

The biggest turn off for this place was the Mariachi trying to scam us. They came over, very friendly, start playing a song, never ask if we even want a song, then tries to charge us $30 for the 3 minutes he had been at our table!! ($15 per song) My husband had to argue w this man and ended up agreeing to pay him $15 so they would just leave our table as our food had arrived and it got very awkward.

Apparently the mariachi are not employed by the restaurant but are allowed in by management and their prices are not posted or given in advance to forcing their “service” on diners.

For the queso, two entrees & two augas frescas was $80 + $15 to the scam artist. Did not feel this was a $95 dinner.

If I could leave zero stars I would, first time trying this place and honestly the prices for the food aren’t worth it. You only get two tacos of birria with like a small portions of meat in it and consomé on the side. That’s pretty much almost $20 there, not worth it. Out of all the afternoon young ladies only one is rude especially the wanna be gringa there. Gave me an attitude for no reason when I was nice to her from the beginning. She rolled her eyes at me when all I said was we needed more time. She then came back and I told her I wanted to pay for what was already given and tried to explain to her she acted like she didn’t listen the first time, I tried again and she then says “Okay you don’t have to give me attitude,” like where’s the attitude at I was only saying we wanted to leave. She ended up going to the back to fix our food when honestly she’s the least person I wanted to get my food ready by, she probably spit on it and honestly didn’t appreciate the other ladies laughing and giggling at the whole scene that could’ve been prevented by one of...

One of the worst places to eat at by far the waitress was very rude and the table was sticky my husband asked if they had menudo she said no but about 10 mins after we oder this pepole get seated next to us they oder menudo and they get it totally different waitress our is light skin with eye glasses she was so so rude and didn't bring everything I asked for but ok moving on my food was burnt couldn't even eat it flautas the rice was cold and the beans taste like the are out of a can I was polite the entire time she never came to the table to ask if we needed anything till we were geting ready to leave I asked for a to go box for my daughter's food she brings me a box that has a hole at the bottom I asked if she could please bring another box because the food would leak out she brings the box close and walks a way I open the box and it's the same box with the same hole in it wow unbelievable lady just save your money don't eat here there are way better small restaurants to eat at than this place I would not recommend this place to...
