We visited Frezko's on North Tarrant Parkway in Ft. Worth. TX for the first time today. We placed our order at the counter and went to sit in the tiny seating area that has three small tables and barstools along walls and facing counter. We ordered chips, salsa, queso and street tacos made with barbacoa, pollo asado and carne asada. We sat with our chips and salsa and waited for our tacos. There was no one in front of us so we expected it pretty quickly. Tables cleared out and new customers came in, ordered and received their food. Wait, what happened to our food? Everyone who had come after us were eating, burritos, tacos, fries, well you get the point. We asked the counter attendant where our food was. Now keeping in mind this is a very small restaurant it would be hard to not notice we hadn't recieved our food. Well, somehow she hadn't. Ok, where is it? She said, "Hmmmm, they didn't bring your food???" So she leaves, no explanation was given, others were served, seems you would hold on orders to feed the patrons awaiting their food that you didn't make but what do I know?? We did, 25 minutes later recieve our $32 street tacos but with no apology and no explanation. I did ask later about the issue and was told that maybe the reciept didn't print...I doubt we will return even though the tacos were pretty good not outstanding and not worth a 25 minute wait and lack of customer service. To top it all off, the cook was serving food and answering the phone with gloves on and then going back to prepare orders without changing her gloves. Seems a bit out of code. Not really keen of food handling at all as a person when health concerns. Maybe you will have a better experience, maybe.

5.29.19 Review update. Management at least I presume the manager responding to my concern about our visit with a "please email your concerns to this email address so we can resolve them as soon as possible." Albeit those words are in quotes I admit it is probably not verbatim but pretty close. I never heard from anyone after the initial review was posted and my response email was sent. I guess as I have seen them state in other posts they have awesome reviews so one or two unhappy customers is no big deal. Unfortunate. Businesses don't grow and prosper with that mind set. It will eventually catch up to them. I thought long and hard about updating my review and decided that it is the lack of time and effort that allows businesses to get away with this treatment. There are a hundred taco places around my neighborhood, wish Frezko's was one I could put on our frequent visitor list. It is easy to appear concerned, much harder to follow through. It will catch up eventually....

I'm going to give you that the food was pretty good it wasn't amazing and it didn't taste very Mexican to me. Merit being married to a Mexican I know what good Mexican food tastes like and it was basic. I got a chorizo potato and egg taco and I can't even tell you if there was any meat in it cuz there was no amazing flavor but it was fresh and it was good the stores very clean but there are a few things that I would like to share that if you improved on would keep you in business. Every business that has been there before you has struggled just because of the location but if your stuff is good and people have a great experience word will get out and you will be successful no matter what. First of all in Texas you cannot have a restaurant and not serve iced tea freshly made in a big old container for everyone all throughout the day Texans love sweet tea and they like unsweet tea not bottled tea. second most important is when you're in America and I don't know if y'all were born here or not it doesn't matter when your customers come in they need to be able to communicate with you and convey what they want to eat it was a real struggle because the guy that helped us didn't speak Spanish I mean English or not good English because all he said was a hot and okay to me every time I asked a question or told him what I wanted. That was very frustrating ultimately getting something that I wasn't happy with anyways I would love to see you succeed and do well and it would be nice to have a great taco shop in town to tell everybody to go to but the other issue with you guys is you close to early people in Texas especially but I would assume all throughout the nation don't eat dinner at 5:00 or 6:00 typically people have kids they have games and they love to go grab dinner around 8:00 or 9:00 so y'all closing so early I've been there several times when people wanted to eat there around 5:30 or 6:00 but perhaps it was seven to be honest but whatever your closing time was people saw that you were closed and you lost about five or six people per visit because you were not available for dinner time. Anyways I just thought I'd let you know with some of us think and how you can improve on that otherwise I might give it another try but I did not like having my options open when it comes to drinking a good beverage...

Worst customer service you can have. Placed order, order repeated twice. Received order with all items I requested not to put on food annd in Food meat included. Called restaurant asked for manager Genesis. She told me she will not remake the food after she said she would. She will not have the owner or district manager call me back. Genesis said bring back the food and they will refund me. Without compensation for the drive or food. So in total 45 min drive with Poor customer service when frezko don’t take any accountability for the order being made incorrectly. Hire better Workers! Advised to take a bit of your food and check the outside of food before you leave. Terrible Service…

Response to Owner (follow up) Now as the owner you have just as horrible CS as your staff.. I firstly never yelled and hung up. Secondly why would I block an establishment that has my money?! You have to be delusional. Thirdly for you to come on here with this sad, lying justification after one I called back like I told your staff I would once they spoke with you.. your staff told me she must dialed the wrong number. I told her I never received a call. That’s why I was calling then. However it’s ironic with your lies told here and you actually fixing the problem is insane and sad to see such a poor spirited Owner…

This shows you how this business handles its customers and the Owner falsely makes statements on a review to justify the lack of it’s employees who make simple mistakes that Could of easily been fixed when all said and done. By the way what your policy have to do with anything when your staff messed up.

By the way the owner now removed his response. 2/3 days later ( poor Ownership)(poorly...

So, I tried a new taco shop out to day that I heard about and was not disappointed. Frezko Taco Spot is a little hole in the wall location just off of I-35W on N Tarrant Pkwy and it was a little out of the way for me to get to, but the drive was worth it. They serve street style tacos with various meats as the base and your choice of toppings which are fairly extensive. Their main plate is four street tacos and you can pick and choose between Carne Asada, Barbacoa, Carnita and Pollo Asada. To get a good sampling, I chose one of each and really could not tell you which was my favorite. Once you select your meat it is on to the toppings or you can go for the fully loaded. I chose to keep it simple with cilantro, onions and cheese, but I can see how you could create a different flavor experience each time you were there by mixing and matching. I also tried one of their Baha Shrimp tacos, sold as a separate item from their main dishes and was not disappointed. Each bite was a flavorful experience and each taco was different enough to be enjoyable, even if I had to eat them in the parking lot since their small dining area is still closed. They also offer burritos, quesadillas, nachos, fries and salads, with some vegetarian and kids options. The service was friendly and my food came out in just minutes. My only real complaint was the busted soda machine, but sometimes that can't be avoided. It is part of the norm for the struggles of a small business. Over all, I was very pleased and would recommend a stop if you are in the area. Not sure I would go out of my way like I did this time, but if I am near, I will definitely stop back by.

Gave them another shot. Mistake. When you order online, toppings are apparently just a suggestion, as this is the third (and final) time they jacked the whole order up. Quesadilla didn't have half the toppings, including the upcharged guac. Cheese wasn't even melted in tge middle. $12 burrito had more tortilla than filling. Seriously, a beefy five layer is a much better deal. Just go to chuys, pay $2 more for a burrito the size of your head that tastes infinitely better. I ordered a single birria taco and they didn't give it to me. I paid $80 for a burrito with basically nothing in it, a cold azz quesadilla with half the toppings, some fries, an order of birria tacos, and a single birria taco. Jokes on me, I get it. Who pays $80 for tacos, right? Fill your fuggin burritos up. Melt cheese. Add toppings. Put everything in the bag. Thats not hard to do. Many places that are much busier do these things all day long. But you haven't done them three times in a row, so I'm done with you, and I'm sharing my experience any way i can in hopes of saving folks from an equally lopsided transaction. A whole lot of money for not a lot of food, missing items, and incorrect orders. Step your game up. **update: I appreciate the opportunity to amend the issue. Management replied to this email, but I definitely don't want anymore of their food, and I would much rather they keep my money and this review stay up. Maybe it will save other people from the same dismal experience.
