SAVE yourself!
If you want to do normal things like order food they actually HAVE from a menu. To get your food without an attitude or not wait in line for 20 minutes! I have known for a while that the menu was hitting and miss( maybe theyâll have it in stock maybe not) and that workers have very questionable attitude (maybe theyâre polite and appreciate your service and maybe theyâre annoyed that youâre bothering them) for a while now. I thought I would take my chances because I really LOVE their yeast rolls and french fries and my kids Really appreciate the free ice cream that has not been working for the last two trips there. Today however, against my better judgment I went to this golden chick. I purchased a single french fry which was $3.56 and when I received the bag after a 10 minute wait, it felt really light. When I looked inside the bag, the french fries looked old. I grabbed A french fry (like a single fry..) from the bag and shoved it in my mouth to see if it was an acceptable temperature (was not hot but wasnât actually cold.. Iâll take it). I turned and walked out of the door and took about two steps from the door when I realized âI think they gave me the wrong size french fryâ. I went back inside to ask if this was really the correct size and was immediately met with Attitude. I explained that I previously was not being given this size french fry for an individual size. I explained if this was the correct size I would like a refund. Instead of trying to help me, the young lady turned around and walked to the other guy loudly stating â this lady asking for her money back and she ate the fries!!! I saw her eat them !!!â I really did not want to make this an issue but eating one french fry to see if theyâre cold and having the rest of the few fries that were given to me sitting in the bag really was NOT the issue. I actually found it rather absurd to think I would come in so their establishment to steal one french fry by asking for a refund. As if I had shoved the entire box of fries in my mouth that quickly or maybe you realize you didnât give me that MANY for me to have eaten. The other person advised if I would accept a larger fry, than that was okay. The first person came back, and I advised her I would indeed accept a larger fry. She came back with an obvious smirk and with a box of french fries that was not full. I know good help is hard to find in this job market but if you donât have quality employees then you will not have customers and you wonât need employees. Iâm just saying sometimes you have to consider the other personâs point of view as well. I resolved I will not be back. Iâm am rating a two instead of one because when they have them, their yeast rolls are pretty good and my children appreciate free ice cream. Without those assets, it would be a one or...
   Read moreI went to order a three piece roasted chicken. The young lady at the window asked if I would accept all dark meat because they are out of wings. I asked if they could replace the wing with a breast since they were out. She told me that it would cost me more to do that. I asked why would you charge me more for a substitution when you are out of product. They were willing to give me a lesser piece of meat for the same price but not replace one piece of white meat with another piece of white meat. I guess it's more of the principle for me and not at all about money. I'm not asking for anything free but not once did the manger even offer to cook the chicken that they were out of; I would have waited. So my option was to pay more or take less.    Read moreEdit: They have since addressed the issue listed below and I haven't had anything missing from my order in some time. Great place. Great staff. Never judge a place off of one or even 2 visits. Upped from 3 to 5.
The food is about as good as you would expect from a golden chick, though for the life of them they can't seem to make sure the gravy is included. Bear in mind, I don't make reviews off of a single trip. The last 3 times I went there through the drive-through, they left off the extra gravy I usually ask for in addition to the one that I normally get with a meal. This latest time I decided to forgo the extra gravy, and I didn't get any at all!
