** I just thought I would let readers know, that the waitress has informed me that due to some staffing shortages, they have been closing by 2:30 PM every day,. This will remain in effect until they are able to find an evening cook.** I must say that this restaurant somewhat exceeded my expectations in terms of service, value, and the quality/taste of my food. Keeping in mind that we are still in the beautiful state of Texas—but that this is also a Mexican restaurant—the decor consist of a mix of Western saddles, taxidermy on display, and other historically Western objects along with brightly colored Mexican hats. The menu also reflects the regional location, offering both a variety of American food or Mexican food anytime of day..Business was slow at 10:15 in the morning, but nevertheless the waitress (who was holding down by herself—outside the kitchen staff) was attentive and helpful. I really like that Their full menu is available all day long, so you can come in the morning and have fajitas like I did...As 11 o’clock approached, I noticed steady to go orders, which the same industrious waitress was taking care of in between dine in customers. Their menu impressed me because it offers something for everyone to enjoy, even if you happen to dine with someone who doesn’t want Tex-Mex/Mexican food. Their menu offers and limited variety of standard American food from cheeseburgers to steaks to catfish entrée, and their menu also includes more traditional Mexican fare like Menudo. Their breakfast menu includes pancakes...I ordered the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas, which cost me a modest $11.75 (a competitive price for similar dishes in competing restaurants). I must admit that the chicken I would’ve liked it to be a little bit juicier than it was, but I do know that it is hard to keep chicken moist when you cook it on the grill. It was not dry, I just would’ve liked a little juicier; even so, I still don’t think this is a significant enough complaint to knock them down a star. The meal was still very good! The price included chips and salsa; while the salsa wasn’t necessarily to my particular taste, I still enjoyed the warm, crispy fresh chips served to me. I do plan to return to this restaurant the next time I visit this area, and maybe then I will try a steak with baked potato next time, because the customer photos posted online look very enticing.

To know me is to know that I CAN'T STAND TEX MEX, which is why I avoid them. Me and my guy visited this place today (9/18/25), not knowing it was Tex Mex. For the first time, I'm happy we were unaware because we would have never given this place a chance. Listen to me when I tell you. This place is A1. The food was seasoned WELL to where I'm thinking there's someone black in that kitchen (I could be wrong of course). Between me and my guy, he spent $60(not including tip). We got the Mexican Porkchop Platter with rice and beans, pancakes, Mexican coffee, regular coffee, chocolate cake, Parillada(steak, chicken, shrimp, and sausage), and sweet tea. From the chicken, to shrimp, steak, sausage, and pork chop, each item had its own flavor, still with that grilled flavor (I appreciated how each item had its own flavor versus tasting the same if that makes sense). But, let's pause from the food. The service alone would have had me return. The staff was so friendly. We got there an hour before closing and they still welcomed us. Another couple came in about BEFORE closing but they weren't turned around. Them, like us, was greeted with a smile and A1 service (i overheard them complimenting the service and food to each other). If you're considering this place, I am voting yes. This is now MY Mexican place. I loved it. I loved it so much so I had to compliment the manager on my waitresses service as well as the food. I will be back SOON. *I didn't take pictures of the food before eating so you get what you get* lol

Worst place i have ever been to. If your wanting americanized "mexican" grocery store bought food go there. But i would ask do NOT go there. Rude waitress. Their "queso" was nacho cheese from the can their kids "chicken strips" were store bought dinosaur chicken nuggets. It was a negative in my book so disappointed. 50$ down the drain. No wonder yalls parking lots always empty. Might as well shut down cause its terrible. My moms food was soggy and seemed like it had been frozen and thrown in a fryer. Yuck

I only went once, so this is my initial impression. I like the inside decor. It's more Western than Mexican, but cozy and rustic. The waitstaff was friendly, but a little inattentive. Still, no problem at all with the service. Also open long hours, 7 days a week. How great is that!

Chips& Salsa: I didn't dislike them, but they were nothing special. Salsa had decent flavor, but wasn't hot at all. Very average.

Queso: DO NOT ORDER THIS I asked for Chile con Queso, and they didn't have any. So I ordered the Queso. They served me Nacho Cheese Sauce- the kind you get out of a can, or the type you get at 7-11 for nachos. I'm not kidding. They seriously need to throw that stuff out and learn to make real Queso. This was almost a deal breaker for me.

Beef Enchilada Plate: Big portion, and reasonably priced! The beans were good, and the rice and enchiladas were Really good!

Extra Points for having Mexican Cokes there, too! (They are better than American Cokes- trust me)

Conclusion: Over all, it's a thumbs up, with just the caveats I mentioned earlier. Is it something I would go out of my way for? No. But if it's close, should you go there? Absolutely. (But don't order the Queso, and...
