I Support dinning at Whataburger's all over Texas and the few other states where they are located. I have for many years. I have not had any real concerns about the business itself. The food with the exception of a couple incident is always good. What I have noticed in the passed year is that whataburger's hiring practices or employing more and more Hispanics and please I have no prolem with that. With this being a company based out of San Antonio Texas, that maybe a reasonable explanation. What I do have a prolem with and I choose not to call this discrimination but just bad customer service is what use to be isolated incidents has become a regular occurs.....i order, pay, have a seat. There is at least 5 staff plus the manager. All Hispanic except one African- American lady. There are 15 customers, yes I counted them. All Hispanic except me. When my order comes out if you eat at whataburger they normally they come out with a tray with salt, pepper, choices of katchup...condiments. Well the Hispanic manager came and quickly set my tray down and walked off. No one came around with the condiments so i went and stood in a long line. I was pressed for time so i went back stated eating. A employee came out with the condiments she served every one on both sides of me but never offered me any, even after i tried to get her attention. The customers on both sides of me were hispanics the waitress was hispanic and I was not! Draw your own conclusion on that. But again i went to the counter to get condiments and was ignored by all staff so i got my own. Again this is not a racial issure as much as it is just obviously bad bad customer service. This is only an example of what I have personally notice primarily at the Lancaster st. location and the Seminary st. location both...
Read moreHad the worst experience ever here today. As a laid back person, it takes a lot to make me go off, and though I didn't go off, I got extremely HEATED😡.
Went through the drive thru today and attempted to use rewards points for my order. When my QR Code on the app was scanned, I was told the payment was declined. How can a payment be declined when I clearly have points to cover my order? After repeatedly asking for an explanation, instead of getting one I was asked for another form of payment, which I reluctantly gave.
As my order was being confirmed yet again, I repeated that I wanted a shake mixed with Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate - a Neopolitan, and the response I was given was that they don't mix shakes.🤦🏿♂️😡😡 I've had shakes mixed here and at other locations, so I knew that wasn't accurate. That was it, I couldn't take it anymore. I asked for my money back and drove to another location.
At Other Location:
I explained what happened and was repeatedly apologized to, which I appreciated even though they weren't responsible for my experience.
Again, I tried to use my points and the payment was declined, but THIS time the Customer Service skills of the person kicked in and they researched and said my account was locked, and even pulled the number up in my phone to call to get help.
I still wasn't able to use my points, and willingly used another form of payment, at least this time having an explanation as to what was going on. The person on the phone logged a ticket, and I look foward to getting it resolved.
OH, and my Neapolitan Shake was...

I’ve never been so disrespected at a fast food place in my life. I walked in to pick up my order between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on March 26th, 2025, and not one employee acknowledged me for over 5 minutes. They were just standing around, being loud and completely unprofessional. When someone finally decided to come up, they acted like I was bothering them just for existing.
Then I asked (politely, by the way) for a cup holder because my order came with two drinks. Instead of helping, the employee literally threw it on the counter like I was supposed to do everything myself. When I asked, “Wow, are you serious? You’re just going to toss it like that?” the employee just gave me a blank look like she didn’t care one bit. I said, “I guess you just don’t care, huh?” and she rolled her eyes at me like it was all a joke.
This kind of behavior is disgusting. If this is how Whataburger trains their employees, especially at this location, then it’s no surprise why customers are starting to take their money elsewhere. The lack of professionalism, basic customer service, and common decency at this place is shocking. I won’t be coming back, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to stay far away from this location.
If Whataburger doesn’t clean house at this store, they can expect their reputation (and sales) to take a major hit. Word gets around, and people don’t like being treated...
