This location is convenient for people traveling through Fort Worth. It's located on one of the busiest streets in the city, I think. Lancaster Avenue in East Fort Worth. The staff is usually cool, and the lobby is usually clean. The building has been there a while, but the lobby is usually tidy. Three condiment bar and fountain are neat, as well. Recently, there's been a duck living out front. What a spectacle.
And the food is always a-ok! Shoutout!

I'm sorry I don't have a photo for this review update...
But sometime within the last year or two, I was asked to leave a review in exchange for a free meal. I left an honest review, despite the free meal...given that I have never really had any much trouble with this particular location since then. But just a few minutes ago, I was denied a cup of water from one of the employees. I've gotten plenty of cups of water in my occasional visits. This new fellow broke the news that he said is from a manager. So, I retract the previous review, despite it being more or less honest. And I instead wouldn't recommend this particular location to people, because if this sort of thing can happen to somebody like me--native to the city and doesn't disturb the restaurant--then, it can happen to others who don't intend to pester.
Being the kind of hearty person I am, I'll extend the benefit of the doubt to the restaurant to say that perhaps other people pester them for cups of ice and or water on the daily basis. But I doubt it, given that I saw a person who looked like they could be off the grid like me getting water from the side of the building in a bucket. So, the instinctive part of my personality thinks that it's because I've been doing therapy and proclaiming for myself that I won't throw tantrums in restaurants like some of the people I've had to deal with at my jobs but instead show grace. I'm the furthest thing from a Karen. Actually, growing up I found those kind of people annoying.
And, of course, God definitely knows if I've broken down and had the audacity to sneak a little lemonade here or there. But that's not saying much, because being inconvenienced in this way or even harassed by people I am otherwise polite to has been a theme in the last couple of years at locations where I've never taken what I...
Read moreUsually I leave 3 stars for Pollo Regio because of the way cashiers do service. Im always greeted with a quick mumble, sometimes I can't make out what is said but I place my order and then head to the window. Im usually in the drive thru for a good while which is inconvenient when you're in a rush or have a crying baby in the backseat as I do. I stay away as much as I can but my son loves the rice so much so when he's craving it we make the drive. Today our visit was different🙂 I was greated KINDLY by a super nice young man. He spoke clearly, I understood everything without feeling rushed. He greeted me, made a suggestion from the menu, I said no thank you and placed my order, he proceeded to offer a drink, gave me my total and asked me to drive up. That encounter at the speaker caught my attention. I had never been treated so kindly and professional at ANY Pollo Regio location. He let me know he was the only cashier on that shift so I asked for his name and thanked him for his great service. I was very pleased and let him know I would be writing this review👍 So, I'd like to recognize Isai H. for his hard work, kindness and the way he treats the customers with so much respect. Thank you for taking your time today and not rushing us out of the way. I pray for many blessings upon your life and at your job 🙏 Your awesome personality does not go unrecognized and there are strangers like me who really appreciate...
Read moreThis was my first time at Pollo regio. Had the chicken it was very savory. I was surprised at the great quality of customer service from the employee who helped me, very helpful, suggestive and knowledgeable, great attitude, it’s very difficult to find people like that these days. I wasn’t able to get the young man’s name that helped me so I asked another employee, thank you Humberto for all your help and cheerful demeanor. I was back two nights ago and decided to eat here since it was a great experience my last time. It did not disappoint, tried the flautas plate on the menu. They tasted delicious as well as the beans and rice. Definitely had that Latin flavor to them. The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was very clean. I’ll have to try something else on the menu next time .
I’m back and this time I tried the carne asada tacos and chicken tacos, since I had heard from a friend that they were good. I was kinda hesitant about eating taco at a chicken restaurant. Well I tried them as they were delicious, they reminded me of tacos made in Tijuana, Mex, I love these tacos so I will definitely be are regular customer from now on, although the tacos were on the small side they were worth it packed with flavor, I’ve gone to other locations with Pollo Regio even though they’re nice too, I still like...
