Salsa Limón Distrito, located in the River District area of Fort Worth, is one of our favorite places to get breakfast tacos. While we personally prefer their breakfast food, they also serve lunch and dinner. This location also offers happy hour, Monday - Friday from 4:00 - 6:00, and includes drink specials on imported beer, domestic beer, margaritas, cocktails and a handful of other specialties including shots, Wine, Champagne, Vodka, Rum and Tequila.
Because everything is completely customizable, there are many options for both Vegans and Vegetarians. They offer Tacos, Capitan, Quesadillas, Burritos, Tortas, Mocal bowls, Salads, Breakfast Tacos, Breakfast Burritos, Migas, Breakfast Bowls, Salsas, rice, dips, chips… even family packages to feed larger crowds. We always get the potato breakfast tacos with cheesy, creamy mashed potato’s. You have the option to add many different toppings to whatever you get: crema, guacamole, breakfast meats, eggs, cilantro, onions, jalapeños, pickled cabbage, tomatoes, rice and beans - both refried and black.
Pros: Use the Salsa Limón app to save your favorite orders and skip the line while earning rewards for free food/drinks! They have a wonderful salsa bar where you can pick your favorite level of spicy salsa for your meal.
We love their outdoor patio area with the enormous oak trees and picnic style tables. There’s an oversized yellow chair for picture opportunities, a large green space for kids to run and play outside and two tree swings hanging from the magnificent trees for the kiddos.
Cons: The restaurant is very small and crowded inside with only a few tables and some bar style seating along the wall by the bathroom. They removed the outdoor tent, but replaced it with small table umbrellas, so finding shade outside is an option again. There’s only one tiny unisex bathroom inside and there’s usually always a line, but the food is well worth the inconvenience!
Suggestions for the restaurant: Please consider adding a utensil dispenser and water cups by the salsa bar so that customers can get what they need for their meal without having to get back in line when something is left out of...
Read moreI recently made a visit to the downtown Ft Worth location on 06/22 with my fiancé. We seen this place close by a hotel we were staying at for the evening and want to try something good to eat. On the website this place looked very inviting, the food on the menu looked amazing and decided to give it a try. Much to our dismay this place failed us on every level. First , we decided to order us some of their coveted guacamole and we were informed that they were out. What kind of Mexican restaurant runs out of a staple, guacamole? Needless to say we were very disappointed. Moving on, we proceeded to order a Torta, the El Capitaen, chip and queso with salsa. Along with a Spicy Margarita and a Strawberry margarita. The food was only average at best and the margaritas were very small and served in a clear plastic Dixie cup. They lacked any taste of alcohol and tasted more of the mixer than anything else and were absolute duds! Moving on from the food and drink, the place was kinda messy with broken chips scattered around on the floor and some dirty tables that had appeared to be vacant for some time. Needless to say this place did not live up to the basic standards of a restaurant. In closing, the $51 spent on average food and drink is a well taught lesson for us to never come back to this place again! We can get better and cheaper food and drink...
Read moreReally good! Seen them before but never stopped in but the hubby wanted tacos so I went to the Google. Salsa Limon was basically first that came up and we agreed. Got there before 1PM, big outside area for parking and maybe events? Nice outside seating area with tables and picnic benches. Looks like it is strung with lights and would be really nice at night! Walked in, small little place with a few bar-style seats and only a few little tables. Great music selection playing everything from Spanish favorites to maybe Top-40 kind of hits. Pretty basic offerings, tacos, burritos, quesadillas, tortas and breakfast tacos all day! The ladies were very nice, service was quick and the food was hot, fresh and really good! WARNING MY HUSBAND REQUESTED THAT I ADD the habanero salsa, is very hot! My husband has a very high heat tolerance but this one! He said this one had his taste buds boxing all the way down to his bellybutton (and truthfully on fire for about an hour lol). Check and Mate Salsa Limon, it...
