Kabab & Naan, located on Shoemaker Street in Forty Fort, Pennsylvania, is an Indian and Pakistani Grill that creates tasty meals hailing from southeast Asia. The eatery is mainly a takeout and delivery business, as seating is extremely limited.
The meals basically revolve around chicken, lamb, shrimp and vegetarian options, with a variety of spices and herbs that make the mouth water, with heat that will test the durability of one’s taste buds. One can select the spiciness of the meals, whether it be mild or spicy.
We arrived at Kabab and Naan around 7:20 p.m. on a Saturday to pick up our order, about 20 minutes after ordering by phone. The meals were already prepared, so it was a quick grab, pay, and go experience. There was a family dining in the rear of the restaurant, and there may have been one other unoccupied table, but I can’t quite remember.
When we arrived home, we took out our meals and were more than satisfied by the amount of food we were given. We had a large portion of the mild Chicken Tikka Masala, which was very pleasing, and consisted of bite-sized, tender chicken breast smothered in a tomato and onion sauce, infused with cumin, coriander, ginger, and fenugreek.
We also had the spicy and delicious Tandoori Chicken, comprised of bone-in chicken, doused in a yogurt and mustard oil marinade, with garam masala, chili, cumin, and coriander. Each meal came with a mountain of basmati rice.
However, it’s highly recommended to order the Bread Basket as an additional side dish. This was an assortment of naan, garlic naan, roti (think of it as wheat naan), and onion sage naan. Be advised of the onion sage naan…it is HOT! I’m talking 5 out of 5 fire ants hot! Nevertheless, it was extremely tasty and accompanied the Tandoori Chicken quite well.

For my fellow Indians, this is easily one of the best spots to get real, flavorful Indian food. And for those coming from South India, I highly recommend ordering your dishes spicy, it truly enhances the taste and gives you that authentic South Indian kick!
The portion sizes are unbeatable! You get so much food that I often end up saving some for later, making it an even better value.
