We stopped in the Gold Camp Bakery and Deli on our trip out to Victor to take in some sights. We were greeted when we walked in the door, and the atmosphere was relaxed.

Three of us ordered sandwich combos and one ordered the chicken pot pie. The half sandwich is massive, they are very generous with the portions! I got the turkey with cheddar, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, pickles, mustard, mayo, and Italian dessing on sourdough. It was one of the best sandwiches I have had in awhile! My family agreed that their sandwiches were very good. My sister got ham and cheddar with nothing else on it and my mom got a cheese sandwich with tomato, lettuce, and mayo. We ate about half our sandwich and had to get the ither half wrapped up to go because we couldn't finish them. My stepdad had the chicken pot pie and said it was extremely good. The crust was buttery and crisp and the filling was flavorful.

We opted to get a loaf of bread, a pasty, and various kinds of cookies to try at home. The pasty was really good. The crust was tender and flakey, the filling was delicious. We had a hard time picking between the cookies and chose two variety bags one being a variety of all their cookies and the other being a variety of their meringues. We also got chocolate dipped shortbread and their pinwheels. The chocolate dipped shortbread is my favorite hands down, but the meringue with chocolate chips is a close second.

If you are looking for a decently priced and filling meal this is the place to go! The staff is friendly and happy to answer questions (like telling us how to order sandwiches by filling out the form) and were very helpful. Everyone in the shop were friendly, even the other people...

We just had breakfast here and it was delicious!! The ham roll and the biscuits & gravy were scrumptious! The 1/2 portions of the biscuits & gravy was more than enough for my kids and the full order was huge! I just can’t believe the prices. Felt like I went back in time to the 90’s. Then the cookies - omg, the cookies! The bananarama was amazing. Like a cross between chocolate chip cookie & banana muffin. We got lucky and bought the last bag of the cookie sampler bag and we just devoured it. The cookies were buttery and light and full of flavor. My British husband almost cried eating the Cornish pasty, which he said was one of the best on this side of the pond. My only regret is not having bought MORE stuff to bring home as we’re in Denver. We’ll definitely go here again if we’re in the area and we plan to tell all our friends to stop by if they’re in the area too. The service was excellent as well. The young lady helping us was warm and engaging. The bakery itself was so cozy and the wood burning fireplace was so inviting. Wish this bakery was...

Old world charm to this cafe which is in sync with the place, Victor. It is easy to miss them as there is no big signage. Lot of free street parking on anon eventos day. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Menu is simple and food is fresh. Small family run business and the owner is very passionate about her food. They do run out very quickly, so do not wait. We got one full loaf, built your own style sandwich and a half loaf meal, comes with a bag of chips and a drink of choice. The sandwiches are wholesome and thick from made from in house bread. Onion and herb is an absolute try. They probably ran out of some ingredient and hence we had to wait almost 30mins. Till them unlimited ice tea kept the kiddos satiated. There are board games, kiddy corner and interesting range of books and magazines if you decide to spend more time. We also bought some loafs to go and a new couldn't leave without the pastries that looked decadent. Looking forward to enjoying them with coffee at home! Highly recommended and we will come...

Midweek, around 11AM, this place was very busy, and everyone in this small town must be there for the great bakery items and yummy sandwiches. Get in line, get the plastic menu and a pen, and mark off what you want; maybe wait 20 minutes if busy for a sandwich, but it is worth the wait, thanks to the amazing homemade bread. The people there are super nice, but go early. It was lovely to sit outside (the side of the building) with the three Whippets and eat. The famous ‘bee sting’ cake is worth trying; it is very unusual and not overly sweet, but the winner by a mile was the peanut butter pie. OMG, best I’ve ever had. So creamy, and what a great crust. To die for. It’s well worth driving from Woodland Park for just the pie alone. The town is pretty cool, too, but it seems everyone we passed in Victor after lunch were people we first saw in this bakery. It draws people in as it should. We will go back next time we visit the area.
