Two words: INCREDIBLY disappointing. Don't bother. Let's start with the food: the fondue was inedible; gritty, lack of any flavor let alone the one would expect in a high quality cheese, a guess would be improperly cooked or additives mixed in to make it stretch out for more. Mostly served luke warm on the edges, cold in the middle. Inedible. Drinks: if you are going to serve an expensive drink in TINY cordial glass, it better be amazing. Nothing was special about any of the drinks we ordered in the two sips it took to drink them. If you must serve drinks in these glasses, put the remainder of the normal size drink on ice to refill. PS: men feel awkward trying to hold these petite glasses in their hands and moved to beer. Service: Attentive Atmosphere: was there one? Cowboy meets want-to-be prohibition? No where to put bulky coats, we ended up sitting on them all night. The best part of the night was the band, but they ended at 9:30. Valets were fast and accommodating. We were really looking great to a fun bar on this side of the mountain. Hidden Ace should...
Read moreAfter our group checked in and presented ID’s, we were left without direction as to where we should sit. It appeared a manager was nearby and looking at our group, yet didn’t have the ambition to greet us and show us to our seating area. He then retreated to the service area by the bar and I had to go to him to ask if it was reserved or open searing; he basically told me to sit anywhere we’d like and when I asked what time the music started, he replied “around 30-60 min” … thought it was odd he couldn’t state the time correctly but whatever. As a previous reviewer mentioned, there’s nowhere to put coats but the bigger issue is expecting guests to sit on log stumps as extra seating. These are all minor complaints compared to the long wait for a mediocre cocktail and disappointing food (lack of seasoning- unsalted fries, chicken wings devoid of any flavor as described on the menu). The atmosphere is a miss .. no defined vibe other than a marketing ploy to visit a “speakeasy” which is basically a windowless hotel bar with a...
