The self-serve order placement technology seems to be confusing for those who are accustomed to the traditional style (ie giving your order to a a live person), but I imagine it’s just a learning curve that will smooth out over time - much like the self check out options have at grocery stores. Once you use it a few times it’s easy and allows for better control (for those of us that are picky eaters and need to add/subtract from what comes standard on any given item).
I was pleasantly surprised to see staff actively engaged with patrons walking in; asking if they were familiar with the new touch screens used for order placement . For those that needed a walkthrough or had specific questions, the staff were overwhelmingly helpful and courteous. I’ve seen this kind of thing go wrong at other places in that the attitude of workers is such that it makes their customers feel stupid for not automatically knowing how to use such things. That was not the case here and the patrons looked to be having fun as they learned how to place an order using the new kiosks!
That’s the only impactful “downside”, which I think is to be expected. If you experience a little bit of a longer wait in the near future, please be understanding of this and keep in mind it will speed things up down the road and make for a better experience altogether.
My one suggestion is the front counter space looks bland...like it’s missing something. Adding some kind of signage to tie the theme together would help. But all and all, it’s just cosmetic and easily corrected. Overall McDonalds redesign has been well planned, coordinated,...
Read moreI would like to ask the employees one simple thing, when you're wrapping stale disgusting food, do you ever consider if it's going to make someone sick? Possibly an old person? Maybe a small child? Maybe a dad who has to work and can't afford to call off sick? Do you care that there are actual real life people, paying money they earned just as hard as your money you earned, that will receive this unsafe food? Does it matter that you might hurt or even kill someone? When those machines beep, it doesn't mean push the silence button. It means do the hard thing and dump the food out and change it over. I'll ask the franchise owner; do you not like paying for changeovers? Are you a tight wad penny pincher? That's fine but why cut corners on food safety. Do you not realize how extreme your liability threshold is? Especially with a review such as this one out there. Be responsible for your restaurant. Come in and work an evening shift and see how gross it all gets. Look how disoriented your crews are. Oh by the way, if you dont want to throw out old food that's fine. I will keep coming back with my receipt and old food and having your employees make me a replacement order. And I will do that everytime. That's new drinks and fries and cups and bags and burger boxes and food and more labor. You cannot escape your unethical and irresponsible ownership model. One day someone is going to get hurt and you will be responsible. And you will certainly deserve whatever punishment is as a result of long term, continuous unsafe food service. Very very sad...
Read moreI hate to do this, but obviously I have to.. So this is usually the one McDonald's I come too frequently, I ordered the big breakfast and when the manager opened the window to hand me my food I asked her to please put extra butter in the bag so she went to go do that as I thought and then she handed me the bag. I told her to have a nice day and I continue to go to work, and when I finally had a chance to sit down to eat my breakfast. I looked in the bags and there was only two butters, which is the normal that comes with it and a grape jelly I can't tell you how pissed off I was because the food is dry without butter, and I literally asked the manager that handed me the bag for extra butter and she did not put extra butter. She acted as if she did But did not and did not say anything about it. As far as the other managers, they're very friendly and outgoing. I don't know what her issue is, but it seems as if when I come around She has an attitude of some sort. It's not a big one, but it's enough that I notice, I would hate to have to match her energy. She clearly needs to be retrained on how to interact with customers, I'm friendly, but I can be mean as well and I don't have a problem doing so. I was gonna let the whole attitude thing go, but this was enough to set me off because I had to sit there and eat a dry...
