S and J Mobile Cafe — Restaurant in Four Corners States

This breakfast food truck is parked on the edge of a chevron petrol station on the other side of the pumps. It's not well signposted or obvious from the highway. The food is provided in take away boxes so you can eat wherever but there are two tables with chairs set into the grass verge that you can use if you want.

The staff were very friendly and immediately came out to explain the menu and to point out the tea samples that you can smell before ordering.

We got the cream cheese stuffed waffles with mixed berries, a 3 egg omelette with added brisket and vegetable mix (additions were an upcharge), and 2 teas. The tea was made.with loose leaves steeped in boiling water and they offered a range of milks and milk substitutes.

The waffles were a lovely consistency, not too sweet with the berries adding a nice touch of tartness. They came with a pot of maple syrup.if you wanted them sweeter.

The omelette had crispy edges which I liked, and the added brisket and vegetable mix balanced each other nicely.

I split this so had half of each dish and was pleasantly full. Would definitely recommend a stop here and if I'm in the area again will make a point of having breakfast here to try more...

RUN, don't walk to this remarkably special food truck delivering some of the best food you've ever had. The service was charming and quite personable- you could tell she had never met a person she didn't like. She genuinely cared about everyone's food preferences and choices! We ordered a MutWtr latte with oat milk and a brisket breakfast burrito that we will remember and crave for the rest of our lives. The generous portion of absolutely delicious brisket was artfully distributed throughout the burrito, and was not in any way overwhelmed by the perfectly prepared diced potatoes or other ingredients. They grilled the tortilla so that you could appreciate the grill flavor and the softness of the tortilla simultaneously. The MudWtr latte (mocha) was a real treat! We use MutWtr regularly but decided to leave it at home for this trip, so you can imagine how delighted we were to find it offered at S&J.
