If you like eating CAT FOOD, this is a great "restaurant."
My family and I have traveled to 14 countries and 41 of the 50 American states, but NEVER, have we EVER encountered a restaurant that served food this REVOLTING. 3 of the the 7 guests in our group (including myself) VOMITTED moments after attempting to finish the plate. I TRIED TO have the pork and avacado burrito but puked in the bathroom before I could get the rest of it down my throat. Pork is NOT supposed to be a dark meat, but it was. It also tasted like it had been sitting out in a pantry, raw, for at least three months. Everything else inside the stale excuse for a tortilla tasted like it was poured straight from a can and then microwaved. I couldn't finish the plate because it was so extremely disgusting. My sister, who ordered simple chicken Mac and cheese, also couldn't finish the food poisoning on her plate. MAC AND CHEESE. Seriously? How can you mess up Mac and cheese? I would compare it to boxed Kraft Mac and cheese, but I feel that would be an insult to Kraft. It's actually more like a middle school cafeteria lunch. Honestly, the only difference was that it costed almost $30. I honestly have no idea how this disgusting place has so many good reviews. Even the WATER tasted like it was the leftover water in my dishwasher. I think it's because most or all of the locals have never had decent food since they live in the middle of nowhere. I could go on to describe the treacherousness of the other meals we ordered, however I think I've communicated my point quite clearly:
This is not food. at least, not food that was intended for humans; if you are successful in forcing this into your digestive system, you will feel sick for days, and it is likely that you will throw up, too.
Nobody in my group has any severe allergies or very sensitive stomachs, yet everyone felt sick or WAS sick after eating at this restaurant. they should change the name to 'the Three Horse Menuers,' because it more accurately depicts what this terrible restaurant actually serves. I said in the beginning of this review that the "food" tastes like cat food, and it does, but I would not feel comfortable feedong it to my cat.
If you still choose to continue to come to this horrendous place, plan to bring puke bags because the Men's toiletry does not have closeable doors or locks, either.
For your own sake, do not...
Read moreMy family and I usually have had a good experience at "The Sisters" regarding ambiance, quality of cuisine, menu options, table service and overall professionalism - that's why we've continued to patronize.
We drove over from Beulah yesterday to have a pre birthday lunch for my wife and I was somewhat shocked When an enthusiastic yet totally inexperienced person seated us without asking if we wanted a booth or table - plenty of both available.
The booth was a goal for them due to the ridiculous idea and concept that somebody had drummed to thumbtack cheap word processor black and white menus on the wall by each booth to be viewed while seated.
We were not offered menus as has always been the case to scrutinize and decide from. Instead I ended up on my hands and knees on the seat of the booth to get close enough to the menu to where I could make out what was printed because it was illegible and too far away in that situation.
My wife asked if they could bring us a menu. Staff brought us one (1) menu just for me and allowed my wife to continue try to figure it out on the wall. It didn't work for her either.
The first thought I had was - Oh, oh-NEW MANAGER or the business has been sold and changed hands.
We ordered after a long delay (not busy at the time) and was happy that the food divered was still good quality.
Less than halfway through the meal and we're pushed to make a decision if we wanted take-out containers ... pushing, time for us to ho already?
Then presented the bil) while still eating with offering dessert and coffee to complete the meal experience. Not good form.
The water that was served was foul tasting (city water) and were told we could have bottled water for $1.00 each if we didn't like it. Since they knew the water was bad, why not say - our city water is not good - offer 1 bottle of water instead and inform - this serving is complimentary - additional waters are 'only' $1.00 each.
We would have both ordered desserts (increase check average and tip). They never asked or gave us a chance. Oh well.
We hope they get straightened back out but it will take some time before we return to find out.
Still good food, and like the old timey classic country music on the sound system. Not to LOUD though.
Beulah no longer has a restaurant. Colorado City is our closest option...
